Beautiful location, spacious room and balcony with a stunning view of the Adriatic sea. Overall the staff was friendly. The food offering for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was of a decent variety if you do not have dietary restrictions. The cakes looked amazing but unfortunately I couldn't eat them. As a vegan, I was stuck with the fruit. At least that was fresh and tasty but a bit disappointed that the chefs here also work with the assumption vegans do not eat sweets (as is the case in so many other places). There were however 2 vegan dishes prepared every lunch and dinner. Too bad it was a bit unimaginative (a lot of tofu!), but the effort was appreciated. The house wines were great. The cocktails a bit watered down. Maybe the ones you had to pay for were a bit stronger, but we skipped those. The hotel is expensive enough as it is. We were a bit unlucky with the weather. Instead of sunbathing, we mainly explored the area. Not much to do but the scenery is gorgeous so we did some hikes in the mountains and along the coast. The hotel does have a spa, and an area with pool tables etc. TUI does offer a few paid excursions from this location but as our stay was a mini break in between Split and Dubrovnik, we didn't need to book anything here. The situation with the pool/beach has been mentioned by others and we knew what to expect. The pool area could be kept cleaner a bit better as not to attract flies, wasps, and ants. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but hotel management has some work left to do before it can truly live up to its 4 star rating.

Had to get up at 6am every day to secure a sun bed. Then go back to bed to ultimately return to the sun bed at 10:30am to enjoy it for the rest of the day. You can get a bed on the beach but it’s 30 euros for two and an umbrella. All the beds around the pool are packed like sardines. Apart from the sun beds the rest of the holiday was lovely and the location is simply stunning. Only went in the pool once and swam in the sea over and over and over again. Food ran from average to good and the all inclusive drinks were only local but again that was never a problem. Will definitely return to Croatia but not this hotel.

I nearly changed the resort after booking. Based on the reviews I was worried about the remoteness and lots of steps. Omg! I am so glad we came to this hotel. What a stunning coastline? I cannot believe how beautiful the scenery is - I feel totally chilled after just 3 days. The hotel food has been amazing, the junior suite is perfect with a beautiful sea view. You can hear the sea waves whilst in bed. We have enjoyed the games room and entertainment. I was worried about the steps based on reviews but we used the lifts and didn’t find this a problem at all. The all inclusive bar suited us and the wine is nice. The weather has been overcast so sun beds have been freely available. You can put your own towels on the beach or use the sun beds in the hotel and just go to the beach - it is practically on the beach. The pools and sea were chilly in Sept when you first get in but you soon warmup. I haven’t seen anyone in the swim up pools but in summer that may be the solution to lack of sun beds. The journey from split airport was a long trek but there was just us in a taxi organised by Tui. So this could be longer still with drop offs. It is worth it when you get here though. I don’t think I will want to leave.

Having read some of the reviews on here before we went away, I was concerned that we had made a bad choice with our holiday. I was wrong. As with any place, there were some floors, so I will mention these first; - air con: the air conditioning in our room did not work, so the first day / night in 30 degree heat was tough. However, We mentioned this to reception the following day, within 2hours maintenance had come to the room and the air con was fixed. We had no problems with this for the remainder of the holiday. Our only regret was that we didn’t contact reception sooner, - Rain: we had storms, amazing to watch, but the hotel did not appear equipped for the amount of rain there was on one of the days - There were floods both inside and outside on one occasion. However, the staff worked hard to sort and within hours you would not have known there was an issue. Likewise, Our room had a small flood but the amazing housekeeper cleaned up in no time. - Wasps…. Everywhere. Nothing the hotel can do about them, there is sweet things in the bars / eating areas - the wasps are going to be there. But worth noting if you are someone who has any serious reactions to wasp stings, - Distance from the airport: it is 2hours, it’s clear when booking its 2hours but it’s beautiful scenery and worth the journey. TUI organised our transfer and was relaxing to take in the views. - Deck chairs: the only fault here is other guests “claiming” deck chairs as soon as the pool area opened. We knew in advance that we had to pay for the ones on the beach, so we factored this into our holiday spend and it was worth it for the few days we wanted them. - Step: there are lots of them, it was clear when booking. I do have health issues that make it difficult at times, I knew about the steps and took it in my stride. So that’s it for the floors. Onto the positives, - the views are phenomenal as are the sunsets, - The sea was lovely to swim in, lots of fish to see, - The hotel staff were all very friendly and very helpful, - There were lots of excursions, we chose not to do them, but the TUI staff did help us to organise a hire car that was brought to us at the hotel which gave us freedom on the days we wanted to go further out, - I am vegetarian and there was sooo much choice. Yes, some of the food was the same each day (I.e, there was a salad bar / pizza area that didn’t change much) but on the whole there was plenty of choice and it was nice food. We also went to the restaurant on one night that was also lovely, - The rooms were clean and comfortable. Would we return - absolutely!! Our only regret is that we were there for only one week and it didn’t feel long enough!

I’m writing this review on day five of my holiday. After reading previous reviews I actually asked to change hotels. It wasn’t possible and I am so pleased. I love this hotel for so many reasons. I have complex allergies and the hotel have been fantastic. Thank you to Nicola in the restaurant. I feel so spoilt. The hotel is a bit remote but go to the beach, turn left and find beauty. The hotel is spotless, the food is great, the welcome is fab. We’ve had a bit of rain but it’s not cold and it is gorgeous. Loving my hols and I’m already worried about having to leave. Thank you to the TUI BLUE team, another fab experience.

We stayed here for a family holiday, all inclusive. The hotel was ok, a little tired. The food was buffet style which was mediocre at best. There was plenty of choice (unless you are vegetarian) but the quality was poor. The eggs at breakfast, boiled or fried were cold. The omelette was cooked to order and that was nice. The alcohol drinks were pre mixed and terrible, weak and if there was supposed to be juice it was only cordial. The staff on the whole were super friendly but there were some staff on the cafe and in the outside buffet area who were thoroughly rude. They ignored us and we had to push to get served. The staff on the outside area could be seen talking about the holidaymakers. Would I stay here again? No. Would I visit Croatia again? Absolutely

The pool area you packed in like sardines if you manage to get one the sun beds on the beach aren't part of the all inclusive the staff are friendly mostly we don't think it is good value for what we paid the drinks are only local wines and spirits the culinary restaurant was a laugh the food was not good the buffet is fine on the whole a wouldn't recommend it to anyone even the staff didn't like it

We returned to this hotel for the 6th time this year and once again were made to feel welcome and at home. The standout feature of this hotel is the staff; they are reliably hard-working, friendly and approachable. If you have a request or an issue then just ask and they'll do their best to help, even if it's a bit odd. We enjoyed a dessert so much that we asked the chef for the recipe, and he kindly brought us a typed recipe the next day! Location: The hotel is located in a cliff face at a small fishing village called Zivogosce. It's peaceful and absolutely stunning. The sunsets never cease to captivate, even after years of going. The location is fairly remote; which is a blessing and a curse. It's quiet, very safe and the people there are pleasant and accommodating. However, it's not a place for the night life and the transfer from the airport is a couple of hours. Perfect for anyone looking to relax. The geography does mean that there are an unavoidable number of stairs in the hotel; and while there are some lifts if you have mobility issues this may not be the destination for you. If you are trying to work off the meals, though, this is a great way to get your steps in! The local village has a bakery (which is open very early), a couple of bars, two mini-mart style shops and a lovely walk along the water. The nearby villages have regular fisherman's evenings with music, BBQ fish and a party which lets you get a bit of local colour. Rooms: We stayed in a Junior Suite with Sea View, right on top of the main building. The room was spacious, clean and not over-cluttered. The balcony is huge and, apart from a small table and pair of chairs is clear which my wife made extensive use of for Yoga at sunrise! The air condition worked well, even all the way at the top of the building (which is always a challenge) and the amenities are present and correct. I will warn you that the mini bar is only filled when you arrive (unless you pay for it) and you will need to collect bottled water from the bar as your passing from then on - this isn't much of an inconvenience though. Note - if your flight gets in late they'll usually leave a snack for you in the mini bar; otherwise you'll just go to the restaurant. Bars: The coffee bar open in the daytime are friendly and will generally get to know the regulars quickly enough; they make a fine cup of coffee and regularly have a selection of milk substitutes (Oat, Almond, etc) if you don't fancy dairy. If you're very lucky to hanging around at about 4pm, biscuits appear to help you make it to dinner ;). They also have a fairly wide selection of alcoholic drinks; though most are part of the premium drinks package and charged separately. That said, the included spirits are local and pretty good (particularly recommend the schnapps) and the bar staff generally know their cocktails and will whip you up something even if it's not strictly on the menu. The soft drinks are pump mixers like you would get at a pub and

Summary - This was our first time staying at the TUI BLUE Adriatic Beach and having read some recent very negative reviews about the sun lounger situation, we feared the worst. However, while not ideal, it didn’t really cause us any major issues and overall the positives more than outweighed the negatives. Positives - stunning location, fantastic sunsets, nice modern rooms (we were in superior with sea view), clean hotel, pleasant staff, good atmosphere, decent poolside and evening entertainment, desserts to die for in restaurant, swimming in the sea (crystal clear water!) Negatives - pool area a bit crowded, you have to get down before 9am if you want to grab a lounger (we typically went down about 8.45 and always got what we needed), beach is not owned by hotel so you have to pay for loungers there (€30 for two loungers and a parasol per day), premium drinks and some cocktails not included in all inclusive package, outdoor sports area looks a mess and appears unused, TUI excursions are very expensive (especially when there are four of you!), not a huge amount to do outside the hotel
