Hotels in Dongao Island, Zhuhai

The facilities are old and the hygiene needs to be improved urgently. There were more than five hairs on the bed that didn't belong to us. We doubted whether we could change them after every guest. The bed in the room was very damp and I didn't sleep well all night. The environment of the small courtyard is good, but it is too lazy to take good care of it. Because inter-island vehicles are not allowed to drive up, you have to rely on shuttle buses to get in and out. The B&B is located in the middle of Line 3. When you get off the boat and leave the island, the housekeeper will have a vehicle to pick you up, and they are very patient when asking questions. Breakfast is simple but delicious. Eating in the morning is very inconvenient, so it is also good to provide breakfast.

After I booked the hotel, the concierge Feng Junhui added me on WeChat to keep in touch with me throughout the whole process. I think the overall service of the hotel is perfect. The front desk service is considerate and thoughtful. They contacted me in advance to remind me to book boat tickets and send me island travel guides, and provided luggage storage and room delivery services. The staff served with a smile throughout the whole process, with a high sense of service and professionalism. I booked a parent-child suite for 2 adults and 2 children. When the hotel saw the number of us, they also gave 1 child's meal for free. The dining environment was particularly friendly and the food tasted good.

We stayed in the Pearl Room, which has three rooms, two with tatami and one with a sea view balcony. The manager Deng Lin was very nice and took great care of us. It happened to be the beginning of the year and there were not many people there, so she upgraded us to a room together. The boys and girls there were very nice. At night, we sat next to the moon platform and they brought us hot tea and peanuts. The room was also very clean. We will come again next time!

We had a wonderful time. Our registration was quick and easy. The reception staff was very helpful. We were given a wechat contact on arrival of one of the receptionists who was great for answering our questions. A lot of the staff spoke English very well which made things easier. The bar staff was great and the drinks were brought quickly. Unfortunately we were a bit early in the season so the outdoor pool was not open. There is a very nice and large beach area however there was only 1 place with chairs and no umbrellas. It would be nice if they spread some chairs out along the beach and install some umbrellas. We will definitely return again.

Overall, it's a good experience for a newly opened hotel. Our family will go again and hope to have a better service experience in the future. It was a little slow to get the luggage to the room, but it was understandable since it was a holiday after all. The front desk was a bit chaotic during check-in. The first batch of guests hadn't finished checking in yet, and the second batch of guests arrived. The check-in order of the first and second batches of guests was reversed due to the poor separation of guests. In fact, the check-in lobby is really beautiful. You shouldn't see queues to check in. Some guests can check in at the front desk, while others can check in using an iPad while sitting on the sofa. It was great to see that many guests were unable to enjoy their welcome drink and learn about the daily activities in the hotel. The restaurant employee Mofan mentioned this to us during breakfast the next day. As for food, I am very satisfied with the taste and dishes, especially the Chinese dishes which are very wok-fried. We tried their breakfast, and the hot pot of Haiyan's dinner was a little not hot enough, but the taste, ingredients and tableware of the dishes were very exquisite, and their employee Justin explained each dish in detail. The lunch at Haitang is very creative and surprising, and the environment is also beautiful. Justin mentioned that the herbs grown in the hotel are used in the dishes, and because importing materials from the island is difficult and unstable, many aspects need to be resolved. Hope there will be more productions in the future. As for the swimming pool, it would be better if you don't have to wear a swimming cap. There are too many restrictions and it doesn't feel like a vacation. It would be better if the swimming pool could be called a restaurant so that you can look out to the sea in every space. As for the spa, we experienced their massage and facial beauty. The staff provided good service and introduced the product content in detail. In terms of facilities, it would be better if the hotel could have its own beach like Gree and Marriott. Or provide some different island tours, etc.

This time, the whole family traveled, although it was during the Chinese New Year, but the experience was very good. I originally booked only one night, and then stayed for another night. The location of the homestay is on the slope that goes up after leaving the pier. It takes about two or three hundred meters to walk. If you are carrying heavy suitcases, it is not recommended to stay. Because it is a homestay, there is basically no service, because the peer partners have not come back, I want the front desk to help move the box from the second floor to the first floor, but this request cannot be met. The room is hygienic, the conditions are simple, the room is relatively narrow, the mouthwash cup is a disposable cup, it doesn't matter if you will stay for one night.

The room is clean and tidy, the location is very good, the scale of the homestay is also good, there is its own restaurant, luggage can be stored after check-out, toiletries are very complete, disposable bath towels, comb toothbrushes, bathroom shampoo and shower gel, the only drawback is that the sound insulation is not good.

The hotel is located in an industrial park in Zhuhai City, suitable for driving. The hotel is clean and tidy, the facilities are well-equipped, the boss has a good service attitude, and the Zhuhai specialties are also presented. They are very enthusiastic and praise them.
