I am a solo traveler and I was looking for a hotel to rest after my crazy stopovers throughout Zanzibar. The entire hotel team took great care of me. I didn't lack anything. The room was spacious and beautiful with the swimming pool and the small garden. The area is very wooded which means you can come across friendly little animals. Thank you again to the entire team at The Résidence hotel for all the care taken during my stay.

Beautiful hotel with very large and clean rooms. The staff deserve special mention, from the moment you are welcomed you feel perfectly looked after. Sharifu at the beach bar was particularly friendly, Edson was our personal companion during our stay and read our every wish from our lips and I had great yoga lessons with Lukman. But really everyone was extremely accommodating, even in the restaurant - the food on offer was amazing! - and also the room service, absolutely top! We had the best time! What visitors should know: there is quite a lot of seaweed. Of course, the hotel can't help this and it's not really a problem because of the private pools. You should just be aware of it.

Der Aufenthalt im Residence, Zanzibar hat all unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Unser 155m2 grosser Bungalow (inkl. sehr geräumigem Badezimmer mit freistehender Badewanne), der dazugehörige, regelmässig gewartete Privatpool, private Liegestühle am Pool und am Meer, die atemberaubende Hotelanlage, Gärten, Blumen in allen Farben, lustige Affen, die von den Bäumen schauten…man kann mit dem Schwärmen nicht mehr aufhören. Auch das Frühstück liess keine Wünsche offen mit täglich abwechselndem Angebot an verschiedenen frischen Früchten, kalten & frisch zubereiteten warmen Speisen. Am Abend wurden am sehr grosszügigen Themenbuffet abwechselnde Speisen angeboten und am Samstagabend wurde das Ganze kurzerhand an den Strand gebracht, wo wir direkt am Meer essen durften. Meine Tage wurden zusätzlich mit (kostenfrei angebotenen) Yoga und Pilates Stunden versüsst, die abwechslungsweise am Meer oder im hoteleigenen Freiluft-Yoga Pavillon stattfanden. Was für ein Erlebnis! Wir danken dem Trainee Melvin, Farida, Azana, Josephine, Sophie, Narry, Ally, Dayness, Edson sowie allen anderen guten Seelen (es müssten wirklich ALLE genannt werden) die uns tagtäglich verwöhnt haben von ganzem Herzen. Ihr alle habt unsere Ferien zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht ♥️

Nous avons séjournée 2 jours et 2 nuits dans ce resort après notre safari. Nous vous recommandons de choisir une villa vue océan... la vue est absolument incroyable depuis la villa mais surtout depuis la piscine privée propre à chaque villa et de très belle taille qui se trouve en prolongement de la terrasse de la villa. La villa est très spacieuse avec une salle de bain de compétition comprenant une douche extérieure très agréable. La piscine du resort est immense et très belle mais très honnêtement, nous l'avons peu utilisée car nous étions tellement bien dans notre piscine privée. Le restaurant dispose d'une belle terrasse avec une belle vue mer et la restauration est de qualité. Seul bémol est au final, la plage qui est de qualité moyenne-plus avec surtout la marée qui empêche tout baignade de 18h à 13h30 le lendemain et cela tous les jours. Mais nous avons adoré ce resort car il est rare de trouver des villas/bungalows aussi grandes avec une piscine privée et une vue imprenable. Une belle adresse pour se reposer. Mais vous recherchez la plage et les activités nautiques, ce resort n'est pas pour vous!

Wir durften in diesem Paradies für 5 Nächte verweilen. Das Hotel und die ganze Anlage ist ein Traum und lässt einen alle Sorgen vergessen. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen zu allen Tageszeiten durchweg sehr gut. Die kleinen Extras (Sundowner, Themenabende, Livebands,…) machen den Aufenthalt zu einem außergewöhnlichem Erlebnis. Auch spontane Organisationen werden absolut selbstverständlich gehandhabt. Für das (erwartungsgemäße) hohe Preisniveau bekommt man hier (zumindest aus meiner Erfahrung) relativ viel geboten, daher kann ich diese Anlage ausnahmslos empfehlen. Kleine Anmerkung/Verbesserungsvorschlag für das Hotel: Man befindet sich in Tansania und natürlich versucht auch die örtliche Bevölkerung sich etwas dazu zu verdienen. Wenn man mit einem Privatstrand so wie hier wirbt sollte man dennoch bestrebt sein zu die täglichen Angebote der Jungerwachsenen und Kinder zumindest etwas in Grenzen zu halten. Ich denke das ständige Ansprechen könnte den ein oder anderen Gast vom wunderschönen Strand abhalten. Auch würden noch mehr Sonnenschutzmöglichkeiten diesen am Hauptstrand noch mehr aufwerten. Das alles hat aber den überragenden Eindruck für mich in keinsterweise getrübt. Eindeutig 5/5 Sterne.

Hotel and the stay was totally amazing, the main pool is absolutely amazing and temperature was 10/10, the option to book the a la carte menu was great and the attention to detail when you go to the a la carte restaurant is great, also the housekeeping staff work so hard, they come in morning to tidy and evening to get your bed ready for the evening, we have special members of staff to mention, ADAM, RUNI, PHILIPO, DOMINA, JUSTYNA, EDSON, all 6 members of staff were so attentive and made all of our trip so special and at times very moving, we really enjoying staying here and meeting these people, Thank you, ps the monkeys are amazing 🤩
