We hosted 4 nights, the staff was very friendly and we had no problem with the valet parking were always pointful to deliver our car, the location is perfect, noiseless at least so was, good restaurant, The hotel is old but has what is needed and is very careful , everything is close to shops and pharmacies restaurants , personally my husband and I liked everything and clearly we would like to come back some day . It doesn't include breakfast but it has a good restaurant and many food options a few steps.

The location is right next to Zacatecas Cathedral Square and the downtown area of the historic site. It is very convenient to travel and walk around the ancient city. It is very pleasant and will stay next time.
Hotel & Spa Hacienda Baruk

I had such a good experience and very comfortable stay at this hotel, because it hasnot only the best view from Zacatecas, the rooms are really comfortable and always very clean; but most of all, it was very nice to have a very warm welcome every single day (I stayed for almost one month) to a National Charro Congress and the hotel crew is really capable, from the costume service manager Mrs. Lucy who was really kind and professional to the janitors who were always on point to do their job. I for certainly will recomend it and for sure I will stay there the next year.
Quinta Real Zacatecas

If you are reading reviews of this hotel all the negative comments regarding ugly/dirty room carpet and draperies - they are accurate. The towels are threadbare as well. The public areas of the hotel are nicer and better maintained than the rooms. One evening we had drinks and snacks at the restaurant; the bar was not open at that hour. The service, food, and drinks were excellent. The second day we ate there it was a DISASTER all the way around. The service was slow, various waiters brought things - was indeterminable who our waiter was, the drink order was wrong, and the food was brought sporadically with terrible presentation. But, the main thing - after politely enduring a debacle of an EXPENSIVE lunch (appx 350 pesos for a warm shrimp cocktail that was inedible with celery the main ingredient) we requested our bill. The waiter said ”charge to your room?” we said NO! (We never gave him our room number. ) My husband presented our credit card and tucked it into the leather portfolio. Waiter left. The portfolio was EVENTUALLY returned with a printed slip in which my husband signed after adding a gratuity. Yes, we did tip the acceptable minimum. We finished our beer and drink leaving saying goodbye to at least three employees. We are in our 70's so we didn't race outta there. Fast forward, when we got to our room, we received a phone call from a fast talking woman speaking Spanish. When I said *no habla Espanol* she hung up. Then I got another call from a woman who curtly said, ”did you just TRY to charge your meal and drinks to your room? I said no. Explained we gave the waiter our credit card. Then she proceeded to ask me who the waiter was, did he take our card to the back room???? ......I said I don't know what he did with our card. Then in about 10 minutes we got a knock on our door, although we had the Privacy sign on door. There was a young woman standing there along with a big man holding one of those credit card machines. The young curt (I would normally use a word starting with a *B* but I am writing publically) saying once again we TRIED to charge the meal to our room, but since we had paid in advance *we had no credit* ...... We asked if the waiter ran our card or not - she never gave a clear answer. To get rid of her and her bouncer-type accomplice my husband gave them our credit card AGAIN which by the way was a different amount. She said it was because *they* had deducted the tip. Ok, happy to have that off my chest. We travelled over 14 days on this trip in Zaca, Guanajuato, and San Luis Potosi staying at various hotels. Quinta Real was the worst, as far as the overall experience. If this was really a classy hotel all that had to happen was a polite phone call from the restaurant stating the waiter was confused and neglected to run our credit card. My husband would have immediately returned to the restaurant from our room to clear things up, but we were treated like we were cheating jerks becaus
