The hotel is a bit far from Echigo Yuzawa Station and requires going up a slope, which is not very friendly for travelers with luggage. Dinner was good, with decent portions; breakfast was a pleasant surprise. However, it is not too far from the Yuzawa Plateau Ski Resort and can be reached on foot, making it a good hotel choice for ski travelers. The service was good and the staff made the beds during dinner time. When checking out, the hotel has a shuttle to the JR station, but it runs about every half an hour, so if you need to catch the Shinkansen, you can only walk to the JR station by yourself. However, there is no shuttle bus to any ski resort.
