2-Star Hotels in Yuma

Shilo Inn Yuma is conveniently located with lots of restaurants within walking distance (200-300 meters). One thing to consider in booking this hotel is that they do not have breakfast. There is what is considered a ”mall” adjacent to the hotel but it is outdoors and filled with chain retail establishments and nothing unique. Easy to get to, just off Interstate 8, but you don't hear any highway noise. The hotel is old (I stayed here back in the 1980's) and sometimes it feels that way. Room has the amenities that you need. TV worked but didn't have a lot of channels and it was stuck on an aspect ratio that cut half the picture. The pool was nice but there are a lot of birds in the area and they tend to leave their mark everywhere (especially the deck chairs). They try to keep it clean but those birds are persistent. The staff is friendly and helpful. One thing I noticed and appreciated was the daily room servicing. Many hotels have stopped daily service so it was nice to get towels, the bed made, trash removal, etc. everyday.

- I'm not a great rental of rooms pretty much anywhere - but in Umah, AZ, when I'm there, I enjoy the HJ as a Center of things to do when killing time. - the pool is away from the apt. and I enjoy a book and the wind thru the mature palms when recovering..... or not recovering. - Good hearty coffee in the morning but bring your favorite fruit to highlight the lite breakfast, and a real spoon to substitute for the small plastic one. - I will enjoy going back next time when I'm going thru the area -

First, I need to say the reception girl is really nice, she is the only good part of this motel. I don’t recommend this place at all! Very noisy inside and outside, you can hear the people next door every single conversation! They didn’t stop talking until 1am, and outside truck was super loud too, it just kept us up all night! The towels were not clean, a few towels have blood on them. This app Trip charged us more than the motel actual charge, you better off just call the motel and book from There directly! And using Trip app pay for the motel, I also got charged extra foreign transaction fee! This doesn’t make any sense, it showed in US dollars and I’m paying dollars, I still got charged! The customer service was not helping! I think I’m not going to use this app anymore, I will use other app for booking!

Arrived at 825pm. Desk clerk, Noel, was truly a customer service professional. He greeted us promptly, took care of all of the check in details with efficiency and a pleasant demeanor. He was quick to provide, when asked, information on local eateries that would have healthier than deep fried fare. When our food was assisted us with utensils for the meal, all the while maintaining the same calm professionalism that was, pre-corona, a mark of a great lodging facility. The lobby was clean and well appointed. The room was clean, carpet in good shape, mattress firm but not uncomfortably so, and the bathroom was clean and had no corner crud and no hard water buildup. This is a worthwhile place to consider staying. First time in Yuma, will put this on the list of places to stay for future trips.

The location is very good, the room is large, the sanitation is good, the quilt is not very comfortable. I forgot to check out the room card when I left in the morning. I remembered it halfway and called the hotel. It doesn't matter. Recommended!

Highly recommend this property! We have stayed multiple times, and every stay has been wonderful. Staff are professional and welcoming, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the a/c is ice cold! We can't speak for the pool, as we never use it, but it looks clean and refreshing in the AZ heat!
