We flew from Kunming to Lijiang, and the guesthouse was about an hour from Lijiang Airport. The owner arranged for a driver to pick us up, and the scenery on the way to the guesthouse was already stunning.
đł **Location & Transportation:** We mainly wanted to explore Baisha, so we chose to stay near there. It's just a five-minute walk to Baisha Ancient Town, with a convenient shortcut. Eating out is very easy. We rented a car ourselves, which made it super convenient to get to all the attractions. Places like Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Xiangba Ranch, Yuhu Village, Wenhai Village, and Dongba Valley are all just a 15-30 minute drive away. Parking right outside is also very convenient, and it's easy to hail a taxi.
đł **Service & Environment:** This is, in my personal opinion, the most beautiful guesthouse (no arguments accepted đ). It has a huge garden with all sorts of incredibly beautiful flowers, showing how much effort the owner has put in. There are little lambs in the garden you can feed. On the first floor, there's a cafe offering various teas, coffees, and snacks. Even if you're not staying here, you can come for a drink and take photos â it's absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are on the second floor, and each one is spotlessly clean with a fresh, sunny scent. They provide disposable bath towels, face towels, and toilet seat covers, and they're from Batigo too. The owner and the uncle are both incredibly nice; every time we returned, it felt like coming home.
đ **Food & Drinks:** We stayed for four nights and had complimentary afternoon tea every day. Since we were out and about daily, we only enjoyed it twice. Even if you don't want to go anywhere, just having afternoon tea in the little garden, gazing at the snow-capped mountains and daydreaming, is incredibly beautiful. Important pointâ I must highlight the guesthouse's breakfast here. I've stayed in countless guesthouses, from one thousand to several thousand yuan a night (excluding hotels), and this guesthouse's breakfast is absolutely the best and most thoughtful of all of them đđť. Every day, you can choose between a sandwich and rice noodles. My husband and daughter always chose the sandwich, and I had the rice noodles. The sandwich isn't your typical fast-food kind; it's a very nutritious homemade-style meal with a perfectly prepared salad đĽ, a grilled sausage, a fried egg, and a choice of milk porridge. There's also a fruit portion, with different fruits every day, and it's not just a few pieces, but a whole plate! My rice noodles weren't just plain rice noodles; they came with a six-compartment side dish including a boiled egg, grilled sausage, small pickles, corn, sweet potato, and fruit, plus a choice of milk or congee. The rice noodles themselves had tomato slices and vegetables. In short, this breakfast feels just like a homemade meal from your mom, unlike typical guesthouse breakfasts, where many I've stayed at offer either a few small dishes with congee or just a bowl of rice noodles with minimal sides. The meal presentation here is truly exceptional! I absolutely loved it and was extremely satisfied! Every morning, I ate until I was full. One day, a guest who came for tea saw my breakfast and wanted to order one, but breakfast is only for staying guests. I felt so happy at that moment đ. And every night, we also got a glass of warm milk đĽ and baked potatoes.
𩷠During our stay, we experienced the local Torch Festival. The owner made us beautiful little torches. When we left, they even arranged airport drop-off. These four short days felt like living at home. Every evening when we returned, the courtyard had baked potatoes and various drinks đĽ¤. The kind owner even cut watermelon đ for us. We were a bit rushed this time and didn't get to fully savor every happy moment, but I'll definitely come back if I get the chance, and I'll stay here again. I'll book at least ten days just to relax and do nothing but daydream! đ¤
