GGuest UserThis time I stayed in a new hotel that opened not long ago - Houyuan, and I was deeply amazed! As soon as we arrived at the store, enthusiastic staff immediately came up to us and handed us hot towels and sweet fruit tea, which instantly increased our favorability.
The design of Houyuan is truly unique, and every corner can be a great spot to view the snow-capped mountains. In the lobby, you can brew a pot of Dianhong tea, and as the tea aroma wafts around, you can take in the majestic snow-capped mountains; on the terrace, you can enjoy a romantic gaze at the snow-capped mountains in the breeze. Here, you can enjoy the beauty of the snow-capped mountains without having to travel long distances.
The guest rooms are impeccable and decorated in a warm and elegant style. The soft and comfortable bedding, combined with the picturesque view outside the window, will make you intoxicated. Waking up in the morning to the sound of birdsong and sunshine, your body and mind are instantly healed.
The food was the biggest surprise of this stay. The Naxi-style baba with applesauce and matsutake rice noodles for breakfast, the Naxi red cakes for afternoon tea, and the local chicken hotpot and cured pork ribs hotpot for dinner all have authentic flavors and fresh ingredients, and every bite is a treat for your taste buds.
The nighttime activities are rich and interesting. At the bonfire party, put on Naxi costumes and dance with friends, having fun and excitement. You can also decipher Dongba hieroglyphs, feel the unique charm of ancient characters, and experience the mystery and novelty of Dongba culture.
Houyuan's service is meticulous and can always meet your needs inadvertently. This is not only a place to stay, but also a spiritual home full of beautiful memories. Next time I go on vacation, Houyuan will still be my first choice!

As frequent travelers, we know how hard it is to find a place that truly offers a great stay, and Manxiwan exceeded all our expectations. Our standards for Airbnb stays have been raised once again, thanks to this experience.
The service is top-notch — the owners are incredibly welcoming and accommodating, always making sure you’re well taken care of. The ambiance is amazing, and they’ve thoughtfully prepared everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay.
A bonus: everything they provide is of high quality. I didn’t even need to use my own Dyson hairdryer because they already had one available. The bathrooms, showers, and bathtub are spotlessly clean and properly disinfected. They even installed a heater in the shower room, so you won’t freeze while bathing.
The amenities are impressive: there’s a Marshall speaker, a projector with an automatic white screen, and voice-controlled curtains — just say “你好，小乐，开/关窗帘” and the curtains will open or close without needing to find a switch.
The view outside the window is absolutely breathtaking — one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen. Another plus: the place is so photogenic that you can take tons of amazing pictures without even stepping outside.
If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask — the hosts go above and beyond to help. They also offer car rental services at reasonable prices, making it easy to explore the area.
The food is delicious too — I especially loved the 米线 (rice noodles)! One evening when we returned late, they still welcomed us warmly, asked about our day, and even offered us some warm soup. Their kindness and hospitality truly stood out.
I highly, highly recommend this place — you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be coming back.

GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at Logee Inn, and it was an unforgettable experience. Originally chose the Inn for its proximity to a private kitchen/fine dining, the inn surpassed my expectations.
Location:
Logee Inn is perfectly situated just on the outskirts of Baisha, an easy 10minute walk or the lovely manager happily dropped us off and picked us up.
Accommodations:
The rooms are beautiful with large windows and direct view of Yulong Snow Mountain. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a higher-grade room, which featured a large roof terrace. The view of the mountains from the large windows was amazing, adding to the overall charm of our stay. This room also included unlimited barista coffee, which was a delightful treat!
Service:
The service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with recommendations or any needs. The hotel manager even offered to drop us off and pick us up from Baisha Old Town.
Evening Experience:
One of the highlights was the evening atmosphere—they lit a fire in the back garden, creating a cozy space to unwind.
Dining:
The breakfast options were hearty and delicious, offering both Western and Chinese breakfast sets that catered to all tastes, with rice noodles as well as croissants and Americanos.
Overall Experience:
I highly recommend Logee Inn for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Baisha. The scenery and peacefulness and service was amazing.

Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does.All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel.The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.

GGuest UserWe were initially staying at a large Hyatt brand hotel in Lijiang, and wanted to experience these up and coming boutique, modern style hotels. So my comparison is against the traditional big name hotels with similar price points.
Pros:
1. Interesting design, bathroom right by the window
2. Great service, you can contact them easily and they are always free to have a conversation with you
3. Free flow drinks and snacks
4. Free car service to nearby towns
5. Cute open farm where you can feed and play with goats, ponies and even dogs.
Cons:
1. Open concept lobby. Was freezing when having my breakfast.
2. Breakfast only starts at 8:30am, with limited options. You don’t get to enjoy the buffet style of large hotels.
3. Had trouble figuring out how to turn on heating, so was absolutely freezing in the room.
4. Room Design didn’t translate into practicality. Didn’t enjoy the open concept toilet. But this is contentious, and really up to individual preference. But I didn’t get the luxury experience I was looking for.
5. Lack of privacy: we booked the room with a large hot tub with Mountain View. However it is also facing the farm and being on the second floor. Anyone can easily look up and see us in the bath tub. While there is no one playing at night, we were only limited to night time baths which was a waste as we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the view in the day time.
Overall, while I enjoyed the personalized and impeccable service (comparable to Aman hotels and expensive Maldives resorts), I just feel like the hotel being new, has a few teething issues it needs to resolve.
I would argue that it is also an individual’s personal preference. For me, they shared the same price point with the large luxury brands in the area, but I just did not get the luxury experience from the room and hotel’s design. Their room design seem to heavily focus on aesthetics but not really functionality for their guests.

GGuest UserLove love love the location. Within walking distance to the reservoir which made it easy to go for a stroll at sunrise or sunset without any logistical restrictions. Room was clean and view was amazing. However not a big fan of the room facilities especially the AI toilet (not sure why it must flush the moment I sit down every time). The shower also floods every time it is used. As I stayed here with a friend (not a couple) the barely frosted glass on the shower and toilet doors meant we had to be very comfortable with each other. The staff were on the whole polite but service was inconsistent- some staff were friendlier than others. One of the staff started shutting off the restaurant facilities before we were done with dinner which I felt was an awkward way to hurry us. The interior is stylish, replicating the city itself.
The rooms are spacious. The staff is absolutely amazing. always ready to help and answer at any moment. I felt surrounded by care and attention.

GGuest UserWe booked Hilton one day before our returning flight. The room has a great value for the price. It's clean and we got nothing to complain. Check out the bathtub, which is in porcelain material and super big. Also the bedding is super comfy and we could choose other special pillows on request. Btw, we also tried the pool and the gym. Both got great quality stuff. In the second morning, I went down to pick up some delivery, and Richard Li at the front desk saw me sneeze and asked if I got cold. And I later on got a pot of ginger tea in the room. I appreciate the service. Overall, Hilton is beyond my expectations and I'm very happy for the living quality I got and the price I've paid. JJjieniI recommend conducting thorough research before making reservations to fully understand what to expect. We were somewhat surprised by the campsite-style setup, as we booked based solely on website photos without delving into the specifics.
While the facilities are adequate, the layout lacks privacy. For instance, to use the cabin's toilet, all curtains on the first level must be closed. Additionally, the toilet bowl is situated behind stairs without any curtains, potentially allowing others in the cabin to see. Moreover, the second-level flooring consists of planks with numerous gaps, providing visibility to the first level, including the bathtub and toilet bowl.
I strongly advise against booking this accommodation for families with children due to the safety risk posed by the sliding doors on the second level, which lack safety measures. While they offer a unique view of the mountain, the danger of potential falls is significant. If you do choose to consider it as a family cabin, I recommend checking with the staff to lock the doors from the outside for added safety.
Despite the unexpected aspects mentioned above, our overall stay was still decent. The staff were hospitable and helpful throughout our visit. Communication was convenient via WeChat for check-in details, recommendations, and self-checkout. It seems that the camping style of accommodation was a selling point, it’s definitely a unique stay. I’m sure there’s a specific crowd that would fully enjoy the experience.
