Kui Ran was renovated from a six-generation-old ancestral home of the Naxi and Japanese style, covering an area of over 3,000 square meters. It features two main buildings, two distinct inner courtyards, and an additional 2,000 square meters of outdoor space. The 160-year-old walnut tree in the courtyard is the soul of the place. The hotel has 14 rooms, including 13 scenic rooms facing the snow-capped mountains and one century-old ancestral home family suite. Neither praise nor criticism, a comprehensive and objective review, all the pictures are taken by me. Let me talk about the advantages first: 1. The room type was upgraded for me. The original 1300+ was upgraded to 1600+. The check-in experience was very good. In fact, each room type has its own characteristics, and they all face the snow-capped mountains. 2. There is a fireplace in the house, and the staff can help to light it. It is very safe and warm. The real wood is crackling and feels very good when it burns. 3. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and good night sweet soup can all be delivered to the house. You can go out to the yard to eat barbecue at night. The barbecue is delicious. The hotel’s homemade milk tea is especially delicious. It’s 15 a cup outside, all free, and you almost don’t need to buy anything to eat at your own expense. All included in the price. 4. The service attitude is very good, and almost everything you need is provided. Seeing that I have altitude sickness, I was given an oxygen cylinder, and the bathing supplies are all light luxury brands. 5. The free travel photography is also good, the pictures taken are of good quality, and the venue is also quite high-end. Disadvantages: 1. There are a lot of insects, flying, crawling, big, small, with shells and long legs, all kinds of them. The balcony room must close the door in time. This is the case on the top floor, and it is hard to imagine the first floor. 2. The bathtub is generally private, especially on the balcony or by the window. It can be seen from some angles upstairs and downstairs. 3. The outdoor public area can be filmed, but the angle is picky. The surrounding ground is full of self-built houses in large rural areas. It looks very desolate, but it is quite convenient to take a taxi.

Yundu is incredible! Definitely the most perfect accommodation during our trip to Yunnan. This homestay is perfect with super clean and great design room and lovely environment. There's a cute white dog there also! Breakfast they served is the best meal I had in Li Jiang. Not to mention this homestay is very near to 见山小院，the famous place to watch sunrise and snow mountain. They are also within walking distance to Baisha ancient town. People in homestay are very friendly and helpful, we mentioned we will missed the breakfast as we need to depart early morning for sunrise view, they offered to prepare milk and cookies to eat along the journey. The room is cozy with heater in room and surprisingly even in the bathroom which is a plus point for me! In conclusion, this homestay is my top choice if I ever come back here and I will definitely recommend to everyone coming to Li Jiang. 云渡小院真的太太太完美了！无论是房间，民宿环境，地点（非常靠近白沙古镇，和著名打卡点见山小院,步行就能到），浴室里的暖气更是大大加分呀，毕竟每次洗完澡真的很冷。总结就是，我会大力推荐这家民宿给所有要来丽江的人，如果我还会再来丽江的话，云渡也一定是我的首选。

It allows us to appreciate the beauty of traditional architecture and the convenience of modern facilities. The room type of Snow Mountain view, you can view the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the room, and you can view the Jinshan River in the room when the weather is right. The courtyard on the first floor of the guest house is designed with open grass and water pool, the second floor is equipped with a viewing platform and the third floor is equipped with a viewing terrace. The morning of a considerable sunrise, sunshine golden hill, evening can enjoy sunset sunset, evening can be overlooking the Milky Way Star Sea. Welcome to bring children, pets and friends.B & B will develop and improve the leisure and entertainment experience items such as the fruit and vegetable garden, the mountain and the library corner, the courtyard barbecue and camping, the outdoor hiking, etc., which are very welcome to participate in the construction and experience. Spend time together in the snowy mountain small courtyard garden, look forward to the long-term friendly interaction we will soon establish.

We were initially staying at a large Hyatt brand hotel in Lijiang, and wanted to experience these up and coming boutique, modern style hotels. So my comparison is against the traditional big name hotels with similar price points. Pros: 1. Interesting design, bathroom right by the window 2. Great service, you can contact them easily and they are always free to have a conversation with you 3. Free flow drinks and snacks 4. Free car service to nearby towns 5. Cute open farm where you can feed and play with goats, ponies and even dogs. Cons: 1. Open concept lobby. Was freezing when having my breakfast. 2. Breakfast only starts at 8:30am, with limited options. You don’t get to enjoy the buffet style of large hotels. 3. Had trouble figuring out how to turn on heating, so was absolutely freezing in the room. 4. Room Design didn’t translate into practicality. Didn’t enjoy the open concept toilet. But this is contentious, and really up to individual preference. But I didn’t get the luxury experience I was looking for. 5. Lack of privacy: we booked the room with a large hot tub with Mountain View. However it is also facing the farm and being on the second floor. Anyone can easily look up and see us in the bath tub. While there is no one playing at night, we were only limited to night time baths which was a waste as we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the view in the day time. Overall, while I enjoyed the personalized and impeccable service (comparable to Aman hotels and expensive Maldives resorts), I just feel like the hotel being new, has a few teething issues it needs to resolve. I would argue that it is also an individual’s personal preference. For me, they shared the same price point with the large luxury brands in the area, but I just did not get the luxury experience from the room and hotel’s design. Their room design seem to heavily focus on aesthetics but not really functionality for their guests.
