Room accommodation with open-air bath [Room] Yufu Dake was well seen from the open-air bath. It is convenient to wash shampoo and body in the open-air bath or in the inner bath in the room. There are chairs and tables on the balcony. 【Amenities】 There are several cosmetics for men and women on the washbasin in the room. There are cleaning, but for the price of the room, including other amenities, it was .... 【Bath】 Small towels are prepared in the public bath, so you don't need to use wet things. There are few amenities in the dressing room. [Meal] Private room in the dining hall with evening breakfast. Dinner and Bungo beef steak were soft and delicious. When I entered the private room, I was already prepared for sashimi and baked fish on the table. There may be corona measures, but the baked fish was cold, so it was a little disappointing. There was breakfast, hot tofu and specialty ryukyu. There was a matcha and sweet service at check-in. It is good to spend a leisurely time walking to Lake Jinxi. I just felt that it was not as expensive.

It is a 5-story inn. To commemorate the anniversary of its founding 111, there was a free beer drink service in the lounge. It is a long-established inn in Yufuin Onsen. The customer service of the front desk staff was polite • and kind. I was able to answer the difference between Yufuin and Yufuin properly. I stayed in a large Japanese-style room on the 5 floor. When I opened the curtain, Mt. Yufu was approaching in front of me. The bathrooms are not unit-type, and the bath • Toilet • wash basins are independent. Supper is a summer Oitagawa kaiseki course. All the dishes were delicious. In particular, the dishes that left an impression on me were grilled on a Japanese black beef hoba miso ceramic plate. The warmed miso has a hoba scent, and the slightly sweet taste goes well with the beef. The more you want to refill it with an exquisite taste. Breakfast is buffet style. I was satisfied with the local menu of Oita Prefecture, including dango soup. There are two indoor baths in the large hot spring bath with a spacious space. There is also a whirlpool bath and a Louis Bosti hot water of the incense hot water. The open-air bath has natural rocks on the side facing the garden. The hot water temperature is a little hot and has a feeling of slimy. What is it in the indoor bath! Yunohana. Yunohana, which crystallized the hot spring ingredients, was in bloom in the bathtub. The hot spring is a good proof. I was able to stay at this hot spring inn and became a good memory of my husband and wife trip.

We booked 2x Japanese rooms for 3 nights, over the rugby period. Obviously all hotels were charging a premium, but having booked 12 months in advance, at a cost of virtually £2,000 (excluding breakfast and dinner), I expected the hotel to be pretty good. The staff were very pleasant, but the communication was a problem - appreciate that this is our fault as much as theirs! The rooms were very shabby in our opinion, the furniture was badly marked and it didn't seem very clean. The worst problem was the smell in one of the rooms though, the staff told us it was from the tatami matting, but it clearly wasn't, as the other room had the same floorcovering and didn't smell. We ended up thinking it was the drains - but it was very unpleasant. The bathroom was pretty basic, and not well maintained - dirty grout around the tub etc. We stayed at 5 other hotels in Japan, and generally the standard was as expected - this was the only disappointment when considering cost vs. quality. The futons were more comfortable that I had expected - I slept really well.

The large open-air bath overlooking Mt. Yufu has the best atmosphere. It's warm, so you can soak in it leisurely. For men, there is already a 1 or a small open-air bath that is hot and can be used by the bridge. I stayed in the main building. It is a building with a considerable age, and although it is undeniably old, the toilet has been renovated and cleaned well. The dishes were basic plans, so there were no high-class ingredients, but I was satisfied with the contents that I could feel politeness. Finally, the response of the employees was very good and made the impression of this inn very good.

Yufuin, who wanted to stay before. Renewed with the total design of etsuji Mitooka who worked on the luxury sightseeing train. It is an inn, but it has a chair and bed, simple but nice design, and it was perfect for us who did not like people coming in and out of the room. The meal was more comfortable and good than the room meal because it was served in another room. The dishes were also devised and beautiful and delicious. When I asked the young female staff, I was impressed by the answer to everything except the dishes. We couldn't leave food, so we were full of pots, because we had a lot of pots. The inn had a lot of dinner and breakfast, so the inn continued for two days was a little bit painful when it was old. The bath was a family, and there was a large open-air bath and I was able to relax. It was conveniently located to walk around Lake Jinpu and Yuno Tsubo Kaido Road, and it was fun to enjoy shopping and enjoy it. I would like to stay when I visit Yufuin someday.

The place to stay in Yufuin was very hesitated. Of course, there are many nice inn. The inn we chose from among them was the go ayatake Kan of tsurutomi. The decisive factor was the great view from the inn. The Sakuratomi Go Ayake Kan was located on the south side of Yufuin town, on the edge of Yufuin basin. Therefore, there was no block on the south side, and the front was the 々 of Yufu Dake Do hall, and the town of Yufuin spreading in the basin below it was a view. Especially when I was in the open-air bath, Yufu Dake was rising in front of me, and it was a wonderful inn as we imagined. The rooms and public space are nice and clean. The dinner and breakfast at the nice dining room were very delicious, and the staff who contacted me were only good people, and it was a very satisfying stay.

We were warmly greeted by staff who helped us with our bags and checked us into the hotel room . We had booked into the twin room . Wow it was huge with a bedroom , dining room as well as a wash basin and toilet . Only letdown was that there was no shower nor bathtub . Another friend had booked the one with private indoor and outdoor onsens and they were beautiful . This hotel had two private onsens that one could use anytime . You hang a “in use” sign on the door each time you use and it was very beautiful . The public bath was also unique and picturesque . Kaiseiki dinner was delicious with wagyu beef . Breakfast was Japanese style and was also delicious . What made the stay special was the Nepalese staff Pathak with his good explanation and his ability to communicate English with us . That made a difference to the stay .

We have been to Japan so many times and have been very impressed by Japanese hospitality. However, this was the first time we felt so unwelcome. The front desk lady did not have any emotions on her face and she gave the impression that she was unhappy to see us. She sounded really pissed (just short of slapping my hand) when I asked whether we can take the toothbrushes. The toothbrushes were complimentary amenities for their guests and she asked us not to touch it only after we are settled and about to leave the room then the other staff told us to just feel free take the toothbrushes. They were extremely rigid for the meal times. There were nine of us in the group. For breakfast they were only offering us two timeslot for the breakfast however being in the onsen town, I would want to take a bath before coming for breakfast. During check-in we were told that the group wont be allowed to enter the restaurant unless all 9 of us arrive. I was pretty upset that I cancelled my breakfast so that the rest of the entourage could enter next morning. But the next morning, they allowed them to enter minutes apart. I wish they would be more thoughtful and took some extra step to at least try to explain to me that I can be late a little bit late instead of canceling the breakfast when I told them that because I want to use the onsen. Instead of a flat NO in the beginning. Sometimes the tiny extra mile will bring a smile. Language is a barrier i understand but to me this is simply unwelcoming us. We like to come to Japan because the people take pride in what they do during dinner we also found a strand of hair in the food. This was extremely surprising. They did offer a plate of tempura as apology, but this was a little bit uncomfortable by the standard that we have been going through during all our trips in Japan. However, I have praises for their service Staff who tried very hard to explain to us the meal The onsen and the rooms in need of some changes. While I understand the rustic feel of the onsen they would like to give to the guest, however it does not give a very safe and welcoming feeling I have been to other ryokans that also give rustic vibes, but this one gave an extremely rundown vibe. The floor of the rooms are also very ‘sticky’ This is extremely unfortunate as I really enjoyed the onsen water but the whole environment just did not make me feel relaxed. The location although a little further in, it is very scenic. Such a pity that we did not have a good experience.
The Yufunoi Yuhri is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Yufunoi Yuhri is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Yufu. Traveling to the hotel is easy with JR Yufuin Station located approximately 2km away and Oita Airport roughly 52km away. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the KYUSHU RAILWAY COMPANY, Yufuin Motorcycle Museum and Otomaru Onsenkan all nearby. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. This Yufu hotel features parking on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service.

It takes about 5 minutes by taxi from the JR station, which is quite convenient. The hotel staff are very kind and courteous. You can stay at this hotel for two meals, and the dinner is better than other hot spring hotels. Plus, there is an outdoor private bath in the room. You can soak in the hot springs at any time, which is very relaxing and convenient.
Situated between majestic Mt. Yufu and a landscape of beautifully terraced rice fields, this restful hot spring ryokan is surrounded by pastoral scenery that changes with the harvest cycle.
FFlorence_YY2024.03.07
It’s an above and beyond hot spring hotel designed by Japanese well known architect. The design is outstanding, peaceful and stylish, especially love the firefly lamp inside the room.
Served by professional staff who carry friendly smiles, delicious traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. I was attracted by KOLs to try the beef rice in the shopping street. It took me an hour in the queue, but then I found out the even better beef rice was already tasted at hotel dinner.
Enjoy staff-led morning exercise and DIY handmade workshop.
I did even enjoy solo outdoor hot spring under snowing. What a perfect stay at Kai Yufuin

GGuest UserWe got a transfer from Yufuin Station and arrived in about 5 minutes. The site is large and the buildings are scattered, but it is a compact and simple structure that saves waste on the whole. I chose the maisonette type, but as a result, the one-story type is enough. 2 There is only an open-air bath on the floor, and the space is * landscape and not cozy. During my stay, I only went up twice and it didn't make sense. I ate two meals at the inn restaurant. To put it bluntly, it was a meal that was simple and unimpressed, and probably disappeared from memory after half a year. It is almost left without customer service. There is no problem with the timing of the serve, but it is true that I couldn't feel hospitality for the price and felt a little lonely. The interior and furniture of the room are unified and comfortable, but there is no element that raises the feeling of staying in the hotel and the inn, and it is said that it came to stay in the villa of the person. It's a tough way to write, but I hope you can see it as an evaluation at a price match.
Rro4chThis was our favorite stay during our 11-day Kyushu tour, and it happened to be on our very first night. The room was spacious, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing, and the private onsen was amazing—we used it both at night and in the morning. The service from the hosts was exceptional. We accidentally left a bag of clothes after check-out, and they had it delivered to our next hotel the same evening! We’re so grateful to the person who drove up and down the mountain in the dark to bring it to us—it was a 30-minute drive away. Apologies for the inconvenience! Overall, it was an unforgettable stay, and we’ll definitely return.
GGuest UserYou can see Mt. Yufu from your room, and although the bath in your room is not open-air, you can enjoy an open view when you open the window. The layout of the room was simple and calming. It was a very nice inn with great attention to detail such as amenities and drink service. Although the food wasn't extravagant, it was just the right amount for middle-aged people like us, and there were free drinks, so we were able to enjoy the food and drinks without worrying about the price. The staff serving the food was also very attentive and had excellent customer service. I would like to stay there again if I have the chance.
GGuest UserThis traditional but upscale Japanese hotel has amazing views overlooking Mount Yufu. We stayed at the Villas which are large rooms each with an outdoor small private onsen with great views of the mountain and countryside. It was so relaxing to soak in the private onsen and soak in the nature around. The villa was large and comfortable but the bedroom section was in an upper duplex with slightly steep stairs, which would be challenging for those with mobility issues. The other part of the hotel looks like it has more traditional rooms. The main reception and restaurant were both luxurious. Food (dinner and breakfast included) was superb with Japanese kaiseki for dinner and traditional breakfast set. The resort has 2 names: Okuyado Buaiso and Okuyufuin Kohgen Resort-this made it slightly confusing to find. Although prices are high (about US$500/night) I would highly recommend to stay here for the lovely experience.
GGuest UserMy family of four planned a trip to Fukuoka and decided to visit Yufuin to experience outdoor onsen. I came across Yufuin Gettouan during my research, and its beauty and tranquility really spoke to me. We only stayed one night because of the lack of availability (and also because it's really expensive), but we really wish we would have stayed longer. There was a ”once in a decade” snowstorm (which seems to occur more frequently than once a decade) when we took the Yufuin no Mori from Fukuoka to Yufuin. As always, fresh white snow makes everything more beautiful (at least in my opinion), and despite my high expectations, I was absolutely blown away by the beauty and serenity of this ryokan. We stayed in a main villa because the annex villas didn't allow kids, but it still has its own private outdoor onsen. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that there was no indoor shower/bathtub in the villa. Since we were not brave enough to take a shower outdoor in snowy conditions, we ended up going to the public bath to take a shower before heading back to the villa and hopping into the private outdoor onsen. It's an unbelievable experience watching the snow falls while being submerged in a cozy onsen! Service and meals were both exceptional, and I would have gone into more details if not for the 1500-character limit on TripAdvisor. If you are looking for a traditional onsen ryokan experience, you really can't go wrong with Yufuin Gettouan. My only regret was only staying for one night.
GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay here no doubt about it. The hostel was very clean and the onsen was just lovely. Private room was also nice and inexpensive. However if you have difficulty sleeping like I do please be advised that the walls are very thin! There are earplugs on sale at the hostel please bring eyemask! Also be prepared for lots of loud noises from 8am! Staff literally shouting and using the vacuum cleaner. So if you want to relax until check out I don't think this is the place. We enjoyed the owner singing to us as we left very nice touch
DDayuYufuin is a top-level hot spring tourist destination in Japan. Since the area is small and it is a tourist resort, it is not very cost-effective. It is an all-Japanese family hotel. Two points to note: 1. Be sure to take a taxi. The last 600 meters is an uphill road. Poe, I was sweating from the exhaustion of dragging a box. 2. Dinner at the hotel is at 6 p.m. Don’t eat too much in Yufuin Town, otherwise you won’t be able to eat even the best Japanese dinner by then
MMeowwww1968We made a booking directly with the hotel (Google translate). Communication wasn’t very prompt and last email was never responded. But it was ok. Our request for ground floor room was granted. Room We booked a western twin room. It was small with no cupboard, only 2 hooks. Besides this, it was clean and came with attached toilet. Bed was comfortable as well. Facilities Nice public Onsen - large. A pity no view at all to speak off. I didn’t use their 5 private onsens since they were not attractive. Free beer, coffee & tea. Really pretty courtyard, especially in the evening with the kerosine lamps. In the daytime you can see there are room for improvement. Location Excellent, very close to Yufuin’s major attractions like the lake, shopping street and Floral Village. Yet it is located along a quaint canal with great view of the paddy fields and mountains. Not very convenient for walking from the station though due to the non-tar road in immediate vicinity. Taxi fare was reasonable - ¥710. Services Not the friendliest. Staff did bring us to our room, detouring to show us the onsens. However, quite grumpy. After check-in I asked for assistance to book a local restaurant. They won’t help. Food We changed our booking from half board to no meals after our requests for some food tweaks were refused. Conclusion I would return for their location, ambience, good value and the free beer/coffee 😁
AAnonymous UserThis is the failure of the blind hotel selection for this trip to Japan. . In fact, there are many other hotel options in the town. Fortunately, the surrounding environment heals and does not affect the overall travel mood.
The so-called private bath is as small as a single bathtub, and the only outdoor hot spring time is very short. I didn't know that the scheduled dinner was not in the hotel until I arrived. I needed to take a car, and I didn't explain it in advance. It is very similar to a simple ABB standard hotel, which is very different from the expected hot spring hotel. It is also far from the station. The advantage is that it is very close to Jinlin Lake. Get up early and go for a walk. The environment of the town is so beautiful
The attitude of the service staff is very good. After 9 o'clock, they get off work and ask for self service. At this price, I can't complain, and I won't choose it next time
KKelvin KeungFor dinner and breakfast, you have to go to the main building to pick up and drag them to your campsite. After eating, you must pick up the tableware and remaining food by yourself, pack them up, and bring them back to the main building for return. Good thing you don't have to clean the place yourself. At this price, I don't think it's worth it
The food was okay, both steaks were delicious, but no drinks were included. If possible, buy some supplies at a convenience store
There is no toilet in my room, so I have to go to the toilet in the main building. I was thinking that if the campground was full, there might not be enough toilets. In addition, in winter, walking from the room to the toilet through the open air is very unpleasant.
If you just stay in the hotel and don’t have a barbecue meal, it’s not bad to try staying in a tent and enjoy a bath.
