The road from the bus center was flat and the scenery was nice, so it wasn't difficult at all.
I felt that they had put a lot of thought into the room, which made me feel warm.
The owner couple is really kind and diligent.
Thank you for always greeting me with a smile.
I was happy every moment I stayed here.
I will come again next time!

It's a bit far from downtown Yufuin, so accessibility doesn't get 5 points, but it's perfect in every way. I rented a car, so it's perfect. I want to come back next time. Be sure to eat breakfast.

Ryokan Jjoo!! I really chose well
Bedding is the best! Hot spring is the best! Food is also delicious
Since there aren't many places to eat in the evening when you go here, buy dinner or snacks in advance

I visited this place on the recommendation of an acquaintance, and I was impressed by the great service from the beginning to the end. The breakfast was also delicious and it felt like a Japanese home-cooked meal, so I was able to start the day in a good mood. There was a private hot spring, so I was able to enjoy the hot spring privately. I made a reservation for the hot spring in the evening, and I was so happy that I could see the stars in the warm water. I couldn't speak Japanese at all, but I was grateful that they treated me kindly. I came back so happily and healed. Of all the memories I had while traveling in Japan, the moments I spent at the Yufuin lodging were the best. I'm so satisfied that I definitely want to go back next time.

It was a bit far, but I walked slowly and enjoyed the scenery of Yufuin, so I arrived quickly. I enjoyed it comfortably thanks to the kind hospitality of the owner couple. The ryokan operates privately for dinner and the water quality was good. It operates publicly for breakfast, and it was also rainy in the morning, so it was charming.
They called a taxi to Yufuin Station, so I was able to come without any inconvenience.
I was very satisfied with the accommodation I had found in a hurry, and I would like to apply for the morning in advance and visit again next time.

I would like to start by saying that this is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in in Japan (and we have seen quite a few)! We liked absolutely everything, but let's try to remember briefly.
The location seems to be quite far from the main center, but in fact this is a big plus, because it encourages you to walk to the hotel through the beautiful village of Yufuin (which many do not do, judging by the crowded central street, and in vain). The views are amazing, rice fields with frogs, all these houses, the mountains surrounding the village. Inside, the design is amazing, with attention to detail, stylish, tasteful, some crazy number of artifacts (books, figurines, cameras, vintage clothes, audio equipment, records with autographs, etc.). At the same time, tradition is preserved, everything is very clean.
We were upgraded to a room absolutely free (!), simply because it was available. The room itself is gigantic, with windows on two walls and some fantastic view of the surrounding mountains, and, in particular, the main mountain Yufu. Awesome stone onsen, after which you can drink local very tasty cider.
Breakfast is traditional, but not overflowing with quantity (this often happens). Everything is amazingly delicious, beautifully served, a stone as a stand for chopsticks, cool dishes, a beautiful tablecloth made of fabric, as if made by hand (or maybe so), a coaster for a mug also made of fabric - you get aesthetic pleasure. And also awesome coffee!
And the most important thing is the vibe from the guys - a married couple who, in fact, run this hotel. Cool, beautiful, bright, sincere. It's hard to even call it a hotel, as if you were just visiting their home, which gives +100 points to coziness. As another example of attention to detail, the guys made a hand-made map of the area with the main places to eat, and added their short comments about each of them! And in the morning when leaving, they kindly provided umbrellas and saved us from the rain. A fantastic place that you REALLY want to come back to.
