Well I just don't know what to say. It was the first nite of our hike. The walk prior was easy we got to this place and was a great unwind, got dressed up in our gowns for dinner. My friend said he never felt so ignorant. It was just the most amazing dinner. I could have then left Japan,gone home after 2 days and consider that I have lived the dream. It was just to die for. The hosts were friendly, all one family, the smiled and you could tell they loved what they do. We drank just the right amount of sake and went to sleep very happy and woke up and had the best breakfast I've ever eaten. I will never look at a cornflake again!!!

We were here before we start our KumanoKudo (Nakahechi Trail Hike). The food was excellent. We were greeted by the innkeeper (also the chef) and his family. The onsen was great. It’s a nice place to unwind (coming from a big city) before our 5/6 day pilgrimage. We were spoiled by the excellent meals.
