店家位置優越，緊靠西古堡南甕城城門處。 據説改造前是一個有四五百年歷史的將軍府大院的一部分。民宿規模不大，客房在一個單獨的院子當中，鬧中取靜。房間不大，卧具舒適，超出預期的是洗澡水很熱水壓也足夠，這點比曾經去過的文物保護民宿要好很多。有一個不大的公共休息區域, 也是吃早餐的地方。早餐很簡單，牛奶麪包雞蛋和一兩樣當地特色，乾淨衞生但選擇不多。文物單位改建的酒店和民宿大多如此，一種獨特的體驗，還是值得的。

酒店在暖泉西古堡內位置很好，裝修、卧具、耗品、衞生均OK.老闆愛文物有見識還收藏了許多精美的剪紙。衹是早餐略微寡淡。

民宿是老宅改建，設施細節上還是很用心思的，但最大的收穫是和老闆聊天中瞭解了蔚縣的剪紙文化知識，老闆在暖泉鎮生活多年，致力於推廣蔚縣的非遺傳統文化，相信會有越來越多的人喜歡蔚縣。

回頭客，小院是舊時官宅的一部分，老闆打理的民宿的調性不俗，回頭客，位置在古堡入口處，出入方便，早餐營養和熱量控制的很好。
