Constantinou Bros Pioneer Beach Hotel

What can I say, from the moment we arrived, we were fussed over. The food and drink was amazing. Sad that it was 5:30 am wake up if we wanted a sun bed by the pool. The most annoying thing about that’s not really the hotels fault, some folks reserved the bed and never showed all day. Entertainment was brilliant, I couldn’t individually name all the staff but certainly Valia and Uden never let us down. We will be back.

I am a bit late reviewing our latest visit in June to this wonderful hotel because quite frankly I am running out of superlatives to describe this incredible hotel and wonderful staff ( see previous reviews). From arrival drinks and greetings by the amazing Valia and her staff to the sadly inevitable departure time we cannot fault a thing . Special thanks to staff in the Christiana and Thalassa restaurants , Alisa ( the best ever cheese omelettes), Izalina, Yiana, Nishal and Pavlos who looked after us so well at breakfast , lunch and dinner . Food is also incredible. Not forgetting all the amazing staff serving drinks at the roof top bar , Marco Polo lounge and around the pool. We keep coming back and hope to do so again before the season ends as I have a very big birthday approaching. Nikos and Valia you should be very proud of your hard work in achieving and maintaining such high standards - thank you and hope to see you again soon x

What a wonderful hotel this is! We cannot recommend it highly enough. People make hotels and this is especially true of this hotel. So let’s start with Staff. Hotel staff From reception to maintenance to the restaurant, the staff here are superb and make this hotel. The management are so kind and welcoming, with attention to customer service as good as if not better than we have experienced in decades of holidaying in the Mediterranean. It’s the little things that count. Some days there were theme days by the pool e.g. Cuban themes party, where sangria was served, Cypriot doughnuts, slices of water melon. Also, iced towels were offered to cool you down. One particular highlight for us was the ‘Cypriot Kitchen’ on Friday morning, where guests are helped to cook various local dishes, we did Moussaka. What was a surprise was that we then sat down to eat all the food which was cooked. The biggest surprise was to return to the room in the evening and find that the management has delivered brand new aprons to take home, plus a bottle of fizz and fresh fruit together with a message from management thanking us! Tui Blue team The Tui Blue team here are great. Andrew, Laura, Josie and Samuel (el Gallego, the new guy from Galicia who has fitted in so well and is a tremendous asset to the team) are all excellent with all of the games (e.g. French Boules), aqua aerobics, and fitness sessions. There’s some good evening entertainment to cater for different tastes, the best of which is the Silent Disco, an absolute laugh. The Monday night silent disco is on the grass, the Saturday one is on the beautiful roof terrace. Such fun! Food We were half board (HB), so we had breakfast and dinner - you can swap lunch instead of dinner. Breakfast is full of choice and plenty of it. There’s just about everything you could want. The highlights are the pancakes made to order and eggs where poached, fried and omelettes made to order. Dinner in the main restaurant is excellent. There is a superb Asian corner, and a fabulous choice of all you could wish for. Theme nights include Taste of Pioneer, Surf’n’Turf and the outstanding Taste of Cyprus BBQ on a Friday (outdoors in good weather). The restaurant staff are so polite and hardworking and do all that they can to please you. Even on HB, it’s worth paying to visit the a la carte restaurants. We had one night each at the Cullinarium and the Thalassa restaurant (where you dine near to the beach). One thing worth mentioning is that all guests are treated very well, regardless of whether they are HB or All-inclusive (that’s not the case everywhere – there’s no “wristband apartheid” here). Rooms The décor and design of the rooms are a little dated (wood from the 90s) but don’t let that put you off, they are perfectly good for a holiday with amply sized balconies. You also get dressing gowns and slippers, plus fruit and wine upon arrival. Fresh supplies of tea bags and coffee are made daily as are replenishments

From day one until the very last day, we felt treated like royalty, with so much kindness and respect. The staff made sure we never lacked anything, and they were always right there whenever we needed help. A heartfelt thank you to all of you!❤️❤️ Small tip: placing a little bit off rice in the salt shakers (restaurant Odyssey) helps keep the salt dry and free from moisture. We will definitely come back 🫶🏽

1st visit to the hotel and absolutely loved it.We read the reviews and decision to book was based on them.Did also hear the pioneer got the highest customer review for all the tui hotels.Was a little concerned about customers being of a certain age but we found it was quite mixed.Entertainment I would say is more veered for the older person and felt it should be more mixed up especially for customers booking more than 7 days Cypriot night was very nice so wouldn't miss that. As most reviews are saying the staff are truly wonderful and work so hard.When there is anything on in the grounds the maintenence staff have to remove all the sunbeds and then move back for the next day Pool sunbeds is an issue as always.Wife spotted someone putting their towels out at 6 am! We always went down to the beach everyday but would have been nice to enjoy the pool one day. Would certainly not hesitate to return to the wonderful pioneer hotel.

A wonderfully located hotel. Excellent service. Very good food. The reception team deserves special mention. Thanks to the manager and receptionist, Bartek, we had a wonderful vacation at this hotel.
