Oshen Holiday Apartments Yeppoon

Lovely place , nice area to stay , view amazing from balcony, enjoying the beautiful scenery and beach

Great views of the Ocean from our unit on level 3. We were above the pool, so can be noisy. Car Park across the street seems to be a meeting point for exuberant teens, a bit noisy for enjoying the balcony. After hours security took no interest in resolving our concerns and advised us to call the police ourselves.

Great location and value for money

Just stayed in a 3 bedroom overlooking the ocean, and the views are certainly beautiful. It's good for sleeping as you can close off the second bedroom, which makes it dark and quiet, and it is a pretty quiet street anyway. The apartment though does have some maintenance and cleaning issues. It's only a few years old, but looks much older. The furniture is looking tired and rusty, the lounge is so uncomfortable due to the fact that the backrest cushioning has all but perished, and the carpet in the main bedroom has more waves than Yeppoon Beach because it's so loose! The cleaning before you get there is pretty shoddy, and there doesn't appear to be any time spent on room maintenance, although the outside of the building is maintained well. I'm including a few happy snaps of the fridge area which has no door anymore, the dirt around the fridge hinges, and outside the bathroom area, where it seems a leak is ruining the wall. If there was more care taken in these areas, then I'd think about returning.

The apartments were excellent for what we wanted. We had great ocean views. However please note not all apartments have the views. The swimming pool was quite small and disappointing, For Queensland the water was cold. We think its because of where it is located as it gets lots of shade. If you are going to use the car park make sure you are a confident driver and parker as the parking is quite tight. I would recommend a car if you are too stay in these apartments. It is located right at the top of a steep hill. I had two fitness fantatics with me who refused to do the climb. If you have children, or plan on doing grocery shopping make sure you have a car. We struggled to find the entrance to Hill Street initially, due to the steepness of the hill we kept missing the entrance. So make sure you look carefully and slow down. We were on the 3rd floor and the week we were there it was extremely windy so we couldn't really utilize the balcony. Oh and it doesn't offer free WI FII either. The bathroom was great. We even had a spa. Only issue the huge step into the bath made it quite dangerous and there was no rail to hold on too.
