It would be unfair to call Melis a hotel. It is better to call it a peaceful environment, a center of trust. The door of every room and every step leads to the sea. It was a very serene business with its magnificent view, delicious breakfasts and meals, and friendly staff. I would like to thank Ms. Döndü, one of the veterans, Mr. Salih, and Aybars & Efe, one of the young employees, for their interest. It's a delightful place among the sounds of the waves. We wish you continued success. We will come again. In fact, many of our acquaintances who saw the posts started to investigate. They will choose you. My request to future guests is that you should always ask the staff for whatever you want. There is a team that is focused on getting everything done immediately and tends to get the job done. They are so busy that it may happen that we miss a small thing and they immediately start scribbling it down. It is obvious that this beautiful family has a great business. You'll see when you go. Why did I choose this hotel? We were planning a cruise from Istanbul to Italy and back to Turkey. When I was researching the route, I was drawn to a stop in Kusadasi, the day before sailing to Istanbul. I have long wanted to visit ancient Ephesus, located 20 minutes from Kusadasi. And I began to choose a hotel in Kusadasi. Based on reviews of the cruise, where there was simply Babylonian pandemonium, I realized that after it I would want some solitude. Hotel Melis almost fully meets the requirements of the undemanding holidaymaker. If you need pathos, noise, fun, a party - this is not the place for you! The hotel is small, right on the shore of the Aegean Sea, its own beach, with sun loungers and umbrellas (free). The main thing is that there is no one on the beach, neither in the morning nor in the afternoon - less than a quarter of the sunbeds are occupied. After the resorts where there is a life-or-death struggle for sunbeds, the emptiness of the beach is a joy! The rooms are large, the toilet and shower are also very spacious. The balcony is very spacious. The view of the sea is wonderful, other hotels, evening lights, mountains are visible to the right and left. Quite quiet, sound insulation is good. In the evening, someone is sitting in a bar or on the terrace, you can hear talking - but not very noisy, the music is not loud. Wi-Fi is free, quite decent. On the beach, in the room - it works. The breakfasts were surprising at first - this is not the usual buffet. They cover it without choice, immediately bring an omelet (scrambled egg, egg), potatoes, sausages, vegetable caviar, cheese (2 pieces), herbs, tomatoes, cucumbers (also 2 pieces each), butter, jam, honey, bread. Again, 2 watermelon triangles. You pour your own tea and coffee. Juices too (I didn't like them). Minus - at first there wasn’t enough yogurt or muesli with milk, but then I got used to it. Another minus is the narrow, not very comfortable bed. One. We were on vacation with our daughter - we had to ask for another bed, like a folding bed, which was also not very comfortable. It is possible to have lunch and dinner - everything can be ordered directly in the hotel cafe by the beach, on the terrace. Not cheap. Dishes from 200 to 500 liras (8-20 dollars). The room itself has a TV (no Russian channels), a mini-fridge, and a hairdryer. There is no kettle, cups, or even glasses. At the reception it is written that it is prohibited to bring water and food into the hotel. Very close, 200 meters away, is the Sok supermarket. It's simple, but there is yoghurt, kefir, cheese. There are practically no fruits. You can get to the city center quite easily - at the stop across the road (crossing the bridge), dolmushi (minibuses) number 6 and 7 go to the market, about 15 minutes, payment on the bus is 11 liras. Walking along the market you find yourself in the center, on pedestrian shopping streets, very nice and colorful. The hotel staff is young, very pleasant, ready to help. They speak good English. Overall I liked the hotel. The location is simply exceptional, the sea and the beach are beyond praise. There are no places for entertainment, shops or cafes nearby - this must be taken into account, but who needs anything from their vacation. We felt very comfortable. Taxi to Ephesus and to the airport (Izmir is the closest) - you can go from the hotel.
