Ignore the negative reviews!!!! Glad we did. 1 Our burre (12) was so spacious and beautiful. So to clarify the air-conditioning situation, there is AC next to the bed. It will definitely cool the bedroom area but not the entire burre. It was not a problem as we kept our screens open to allow the sounds of the sea and the breeze. 2. Food is plentiful and delicious. Again this is not The Four Seasons but we enjoyed every meal. 3. The Beach, the beach, the beach! It is beautiful and very accessible for Seniors like me. One can Snorkel off the beach. They have Snorkeling trips, fishing and many other water activities. The water and beach are stunning.( We have been to other Fiji resorts) 4. Do a village tour. We were able to meet the children in school. Should be a mandatory experience when visiting Fiji. 5. Loved our private picnic. Again there are higher end resorts providing a more luxurious experience but none with such a beautiful beach. 6. The people! You will LOVE everyone at the resort. Too many to name. Each brings a desire to make the guest happy and comfortable. 7. The spa package was worth it for me. They are opening a new spa building soon so I am sure it will be wonderful. 8. The other guests... They are from all over the world. With the resort size you are able to engage easily with everyone 9. Now book your trip lol

I can not express how wonderful Yasawa Island Resort and spa was!!! The accommodations, the food, the activities, and the people were all amazing! My husband and I were there for our honeymoon and for my birthday and the resort made a big deal of both! I can't wait to go back!!! After landing in Nadi we got on an island hopper plane which was, to our surprise, an 8 seater plane. A little unnerving at first but then when you see the magnificent views as you fly, you forget all about how small the plane is. We then landed in a field! no joke, a field which was so cool! the staff greeted us with open arms and we were at the resort in minutes. The resort is super beautiful, quiet and clean! Our room was very big. Again super clean and the beds were so comfortable. I have read other reviews complaining about bugs but to be honest we didn't see any. Maybe it was because of the time of year we traveled (their winter.) The outdoor shower was a nice touch and the back deck was big. The additional thatched hut with chairs and hammock was a welcomed quiet place to relax. The resort is all inclusive (minus alcohol) including food (which was amazing) activities and a special seafood dinner which was so good! All fresh lobsters, crabs, shrimp and local fish. There was so much food we couldn't even finish! But my favorite part were the beach picnics. When you schedule a beach picnic you get to choose from a menu of different foods. We had sandwiches on or first picnic and a Cesar salad with prawns and lobster the second , which were absolutely delicious! They put you on a boat and take you to a deserted beautiful beach which is set up with a hut for shade and a comfy mattress pad to relax on. It was such a magical time to be alone with my husband in this breathtaking beach for 2+ hours. We have been to many beautiful beaches all over the world but never one that we had all to ourselves! It will be a memory that I never will forget. Lastly I can not thank the staff enough for being so nice and accommodating! They made us feel so at home. From management to the wait staff to the activities people, each and everyone of you had such a big part in making our trip so special! I would highly recommend this resort to anyone going to Fiji!

Every year, we travel to three or four resorts around the world, mainly the Maldives, but also Cancun, Mauritius, etc. This time, what we want to do is read a book on a quiet beach and eat delicious food. I understand that every resort has different staff attitudes. However, I felt like everyone here was trying too hard to be overly friendly. Since you pay your bills, it's better if they just fulfill their obligations. I never had a chance to speak with the woman who seemed to be the owner. It's a shame. The location is great, but I thought it might be a management issue. There are many activities, but they are not explained in detail, which is tiring (for example, a strenuous hour-long mountain climb called a walk). Dinner was also tough, as the main course was served immediately after a full day and a half of flying. There are many areas that need improvement, but I hope they continue to make progress by taking advantage of the beautiful nature and environment. If you are young, it would be a good idea to bring something for the local children and women.

To begin this is not a white gloves resort but a unique experience you will never forget. The facilities are excellent and always clean but our one of only 18 villas on the island was in the jungle. Being that, we did leave both of our ocean facing double doors open all the time so we did get a couple of geckos on the ceiling. They were very entertaining and never created an issue. I don’t believe there were more than 34 other guests on the island. There is one resort and 3 very small villages. We visited 2 villages, one by boat and the other by one of 2 vehicles on the island, and the trips were unforgettable and the villagers and children so welcoming. The majority of the resort staff are from the villages and they are so happy and wanting to help with anything you want. The lobster and fish along with the fruits were so fresh and uniquely prepared. The private picnics on the private beaches were incredible. This is not the Four Seasons and not meant to be but it would be difficult to match the beauty and atmosphere of this resort

Peace & serenity from your busy life style Great for couples or solo. Swim in aqua blue sea, or lay down for sun tan. Fishing trips are great. Snorkeling or reef diving is a must. Aahh, don't forget to get spoilt with Spa treatment. Village trips are a must. Seeing a simple Fijian lifestyle, one to one with villagers, is a must. Cave trips. Food & Wine is well taken care of. onsight ice-cream by chef...loving it Don't bring work, just ourselves

We booked these rooms on the ******* website. We arrived at the resort in the late afternoon of April 26, 2025 on the last flight into Yasawa. We checked into our rooms and noticed many inconsistencies with the luxury that was communicated on the Yasawa Island Resort and ******* websites. The room was hot. There was a tiny wall AC unit above the bed which was not adequate to cool the whole room. We found bugs and spiders of many types throughout the room. We also found lizards and geckos on the ceilings and corners. The room was not even close to luxury and was not clean. We immediately complained with hotel staff with no real attention given to our complaint. As it was late and we could not leave the island until the next morning, we suffered through the night at the resort. The next morning we once again voiced our concerns with no resolution. We checked out at the front desk and took the next available flight from Yasawa to Fiji. This resort is not the luxury presented on Yasawa Island Resort or Expedia's website. Do your self a favor and stay on the main island at a reputable resort.
