Things are getting bit old. One of the customers here step into a wooden step and it broken he injured his leg. Cleanness can be improved as the towel are bit yellow and smelly. Insects are really annoying at night, mosquito net is necessary but they didn’t provide in the room

We were really disappointed with our stay at Yasawa. The level of service that you expect for the cost to stay here was well below standard. We felt at times as if we were an inconvenience - not by all, but some service was really lacklustre and not the usual Fijian warm and welcoming experience. It is the little things that go a long way. Sadly we won't be back the level of service needs to lift considerably if you want to gain and retain a reputation as a luxury resort

I rate this a five star couple retreat experience from beginning to end. The 8 seater Island Hoppers flight in from Nadi is an experience in itself with incredible views of the beautiful Yasawas and surrounding reefs whetting the appetite for arrival. The airstrip transfer and check in process was smooth and professional by resort AM Jope, Sikeli and their team. The welcome we and fellow arrivals received from Kaydee the resort GM was heartfelt, informative and refreshing, complete with a lovely welcome song from staff. The arrival in our room was spectacular, we had the double bure on the hill at the southern end of the resort, a luxurious 2br 2 bth villa with a large balcony, and were greeted with sweeping views of the coastline and cliffs, jungle, beach, ocean and reefs. My wife was impressed with the champagne I had pre-organised for our arrival. Complete with the stocked mini bar and Fijian sunshine this made for a relaxing afternoon at the bure, reading and sunbathing on the day bed and cooling off in the private outdoor shower (there were 2 of these at our bure). 6:30 was nightly cocktail hour, and as we arrived on a Sunday, there was a magnificent staff gospel singing choir on the beach. It was obvious from the speech by resort owner Erin, that the local culture is respected with Sunday being a quiet day at the resort with minimal staffing so local villager staff who make up the majority of staff can participate in village religious and cultural festivities. Sai and Sami had the cocktails down pat, by the end of the stay we had tried all the local specials!! Meals were always a highlight, with plenty of variety on offer and often featuring local cuisine. The local fresh caught seafood platter was spectacular. The service from all waitstaff including Kara, Jerry and led by Manasa and Wati was outstanding, friendly and attentive. Despite all this, the highlights for me were the day activities, private picnics at amazing private white sandy beach and snorkelling spots, and a private diving trip to a couple of the most outstanding coral reef dive spots I have seen, healthy and vibrant with beautiful coral and fish specimens. These were ably organised by activities and dive master Pedro, and we felt safe and looked after by all activities staff including captains Bale, Vuni, Apo and Smiga. Our 4 night stay was great but would have loved to have stayed longer, there was heaps more to do we didn’t get to. Thanks again for a great time, we will be back again!

My husband and I spent an amazing 7 nights here in Beachfront Bure 2, and it was more than we had hoped for. The small size of the resort makes it easy to connect with the staff and other guests and nothing is ever crowded. The snorkeling here is amazing, we have been to 3 different Yasawa islands now and the coral here was the most vibrant we have seen. The relaxed pace was exactly what we needed, and although many of the other guests did not respect it, we appreciated the rule against phones in the restaurant and used it to help ourselves disconnect. The spa package is a must, truly an incredible deal with a treatment every single day. I highly recommend the massages- they are incredible! We loved going to happy hour, hearing about the options for the next day, scheduling our spa, and having a nice dinner. And nice doesn't go far enough, the food is incredible! Such variety for somewhere so remote, and everything was delicious. My husband was over the moon about the coffee too, its the first place we've stayed in the Yasawas that didn't have instant coffee. The staff is all so friendly, and each of the evening activities (singing, kava, dancing) were a beautiful and fascinating peek into Fijian culture. The caves trip is a must do, and the private beach picnics really have you feeling like the only people in the world, in some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Smige and Pedro plan wonderful activities and were amazing at helping us get everything we wanted out of this trip! My husband does not like to go anywhere twice, but he said this resort is one we are coming back to!

My wife and I were looking for a honeymoon getaway via Costco Travel. Considering how far from home it is and the cost, we were a little hesitant about choosing Yasawa Island Resort. However, after 7 days of pure bliss, we now have a core memory of a place we previously only thought existed in dreams. Located in the heart of Fiji's archipelago, Yasawa Island Resort is nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the mainland. Arriving at the resort by charter plane was an experience on its own. On the way, you get to see how clear the turquoise waters are. How gorgeous the beach sands are. And just how many islands Fiji has to offer. A breathtaking backdrop that feels almost surreal. Prior to landing, we were already greeted by the stunning and lush greenery, inviting us to trust in nature. Even the airstrip itself is green. As soon as we landed, we were welcomed by song and Salusalu (Fijian Lei). After a bumpy but short van ride, we arrived at the resort itself. Once again, welcomed by song, but this time, to include the entire staff! All the while being handed a fresh coconut to drink and a vibe to soak in. This was the commitment stage. The promise to fully immerse ourselves in this. The promise to disconnect from our technology driven society and embrace the experience the resort has so carefully preserved and curated for the guests. The exceptional service provided by the staff is what truly sets Yasawa Island Resort apart. Every day, we felt genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff's attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our stay was perfect was evident in every interaction. Whether it was organizing a special excursion (daily private beach picnics), accommodating dietary preferences, or simply offering a friendly smile, the team at Yasawa Island Resort went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. And it was. We stayed in the Deluxe Beachfront Bure. To us, it was perfect. A beautiful living room, a comfortable bed, and an outside shower that’s simply to die for. Since there are no TVs or wifi in the rooms (the purpose is to disconnect from technology, remember?), we were falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean waves gracefully crashing onto the shore every night. We were fortunate enough to have a full moon one night, so we walked the beach, and it was breathtaking. The moonlight lit up everything around us and with the ocean right there, everything was a shade of blue. A sight I will never forget. We saw a few people in the reviews complaining about the food, so we didn’t know what to expect. Glad we didn’t listen. The food was incredible!!! You have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, you have a bunch of choices, with every day having a new ‘breakfast special’. For lunch and dinner, the chef gives you two options to choose from. Suffice to say, me thinking I was going to lose weight while on vacation was a complete pipe dream. Especially with that dessert always doing what it was supposed to do. The activiti

I can NOT say enough about our time at Yasawa Resort and spa. My daughter and I snuck away for a birthday trip and plan on returning. The sites, the water, the beaches and the sunsets! Erin and her staff are some of the most generous, friendly, beautiful people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! And the private seafood platter night on the beach for our birthdays!!? I HIGHLY recommend booking a trip here! Will forever hold a special place in my heart❤️

If Solitude in a Tropical Paradise is a travel goal, this resort meets your expectations. The warmth of the Sun is only exceeded by the warmth of the Staff, which we consider our new extended Family. Relaxation in a quite, extremely well kept environment with excellent food, outstanding Service and welcoming smiles by the minute is not a common experience for me, until now. It all starts with a 35 minute shuttle from Nadi on a small aircraft allowing for spectacular views of the sparkling and clean ocean. The grass landing ***** brings a unique quality to this evolving experience, and the traditional shell lay and greeting shows immediate caring for you as their guest. The staff singing at the check in brings you into the aura you'll experience the entire time while in their care. I was fascinated at the 1450 sq foot bure my wife and I stayed in with high ceiling with the large post and beam construction. This gave us the feeling we were living in a cottage, not just a room. The meal times are perfectly scheduled and every meal was fabulous. Reading the menu then looking at the ocean where it was from made for some fascinating culture. Happy hour was 'moviesque' with the warm tropical breeze softly brushing over our skin and the open seating gave us the romantic feeling we had hoped when booking this Resort. The Spa, with Naomi directing the scheduling and training the staff, is incomparable to anythng we have ever experienced before. She trained Pau and Mary well, no, beyond well, in fact. When they were done, I never felt so perfectly relaxed or that happy after experiencing the best massage ever in my life. This Resort and Spa is in every way worth the travel time to get there, and take the time to read the Photo Album of its origination, you'll be in awe! Manasaw and Wati were part of this beginning in their 20's and are now in their 70's still running the staff. One truck was allowed on the Island during construction and that was for digging the well. Everything else was done by hand, such as clearing hundreds of acres for the runway and resort footprint, then mixing the hundreds of tons of concrete to minimize the effect on their pristine environment. Finally, if you remove the Resort, you would be experiencing the same culture of the late 1800's. This is an exceptional Resort providing a unique and incredible experience. We will return soon as this is really much more than a once in a lifetime experience.
