One of the most beautiful accommodations I've ever stayed in. Our room looked out over the Dundee Hills where we experienced the most stunning sunrises. On clear days, you can see Mount Hood and Mount Jefferson-- wow. Acres of vines. They have the sweetest livestock. A few goats and chickens that are so fun to visit after a long day of wine tasting. But don't feed the goats lol. But do give them rubs on their little heads and noses, they're so sweet. Breakfast in the morning is 5 star quality. The staff is attentive and kind, they remember your name and are eager to help in any way they can. My now husband and I went to get married out there and we hope to be back soon. Maybe make it an annual anniversary trip? 10/10 Would recommend.

My husband and I spent 2 wonderful days at Black Walnut and were totally wowed by the experience. The setting is magnificent with widespread views of the vineyards, countryside and Mt. Hood in the distance. We were warmly greeted by Jared and Anna upon arrival and offered a very nice glass of 4 Graces Pinot Gris along with a tour of the property. It has the vibe of an elegant country estate in Tuscany. We’ve stayed at other vineyard inns and this ranks among the best. We were in room 1 which felt very private and was completely peaceful. The views from the rooms, soaking tub and terrace were breathtaking! We joked that the bathroom was larger than my first 2 apartments and it was barely an exaggeration. There was a full dressing room with 3 huge closets and drawers plus a seated vanity just outside the bathroom, which featured dual sinks, large shower, separate toilet area and that deep tub. All airy, bright and impeccably clean. We had more luggage than usual because we’re on a very long cross country road trip and after fully unpacking we still had loads of space and free hangers. We could probably have brought our entire wardrobe from home and fit it. The bed was ultra comfortable with really luxurious linens. The towels were plush and plentiful and the waffle weave robes were very soft and cozy. Quality bath products, excellent lighted makeup mirror and top flight hair dryer are supplied. Breakfasts are included and are terrific. The freshly squeezed orange juice is delicious, as is the coffee. We were crazy about the spring toast, served with creamy hummus, soft scrambled eggs and fresh crispy snap peas, a winning combination of flavors and textures. The mixed berries scones are also freshly baked and scrumptious. You can have a free wine tasting at 4 Graces. There’s a charming restaurant called Tina’s just down the hill in Dundee and lots of wineries to visit nearby. We would have liked to try dinner on property but they weren’t open the nights we were there. We tried to think of anything we didn’t like or would have wanted and couldn’t come up with a thing. We would return in a heartbeat.

It is really hard to pinpoint one part of staying at The Black Walnut Inn that stood out as it all did! It was truly a magical time with my best girl friend! We stayed 3 nights and each day was better than the previous - if that is possible! Upon our arrival we were greeted by Anna with a glass of wine and a tour! Our room was over the top lovely and from there, each and every moment kept getting better and better! Our first evening spent by the fire with music and glassy baby candles and other guests was simply so lovely. The next morning the breakfast was the best and truly felt like we were somewhere else with the service and the atmosphere! The stay kept getting better and better with the lovely staff (Anna, Hope, Caroline, Sierra and Logan) For our last night we were the only guests there and felt like royalty. Thank you!!! I have and will continue to recommend and will most definitely be back. What a gem and lovely and extremely classy place you have! The attention to detail everywhere you look . . wow! Can't wait to experience it in lovely weather! We had snow and constant rain and wind but it did not damper our stay in the slightest! Just made us want to experience it in lovely weather because we can only imagine. Thank you again.

Black walnut in sits a top the rolling Hills of Dundee Oregon with fantastic views. Service is exceptional, try the Pinot noir kombucha from their vineyard. You will never go hungry. Patio fireplace is running most of the day.

If it was possible to give this place 6 stars, I would give it 7. Kudos to Stevi, Colin, Kyle, and KC, along with the rest of the friendly staff. They were always willing to go above and beyond, and helped take the headache out of coordinating a shipment of wine home. Breakfast was amazing each morning and the wine and cheese and charcuterie we purchased for our first day was absolutely worth it. The estate wine was the perfect introduction to wine country paradise. The views are superb and I took many photos of sunrises, sets, fog, clouds. It was quiet every night and the outdoor seating was plentiful and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

Lovely property, quiet and restful with a laidback vibe. Friendly service from the staff. Full breakfast every morning with a variety of offerings for any appetite. Rooms are large with luxurious appointments throughout. Lots of windows to enjoy spectacular views from high on a hill. There’s fire pits outside for chippy nights and a big fireplace in the living room for a nightcap or an after breakfast coffee. Close enough to lots of wineries (a couple are walkable) but far from the hubbub. Some evenings the chefs serve a 3 course meal that is delicious if you’re looking for a comfortable wine country stay, this is the place. Tip: couples will enjoy the best

This will always be my husband and I's favorite place to stay when we visit the valley! Its attention to detail is unmatched, and the staff here truly make this place such a special experience. The first time we came we stayed for 1 night and knew that next time we took a trip out we'd need at least 2 to fully enjoy and immerser ourselves in the slice of heaven that is Black Walnut.

The hotel and grounds are very nice! The rooms not so much Our room had only one chair and a bed. No closet, no where to put your luggage or clothes. No place in the bathroom to even set your toothbrush or hang up a towel when finished. Literally all your stuff goes on the floor. If you want somewhere to put things you need to pay $100 more for a better room. Ours was $550 at the time
