Pacific Hotel Yamba

Pro: Best location to enjoy the beach downstairs. The bunk beds were pretty comfy and clean. Note that there’s only one standing fan per room. Cons: The balcony in front of the rooms is shared, so depending on the crowd, it can be a very noisy night. The view could be incredible, but sadly there’s construction on the facade blocking parts of the windows at the moment. The first floor of this hotel is a very busy bar, but the music was turned off at midnight. Our neighbors were a group of drunk/drugged guys, who enjoyed vomiting loudly and slamming the doors. The hotel staff also work at the bar, so there’s no service when it’s busy downstairs. Definitely do not missed the cafe Gathered in front of the hotel, the food is delicious.

Hotel was great - staff were lovely - booked a shared bathroom which was not ideal but the view more than made up for it and the restaurant downstairs was surprisingly yum!

Don’t mistake this for being a HOTEL because of its name, it’s not! It’s a shabby old brown pub with accommodations - with a hole in the wall reception. Worst and frankly the strangest ‘hotel’ experience ever! Came here from a 5 star hotel in Newcastle, and had to pay a lot more for this thing…got a ‘signature room’ whatever that’s supposed to mean. Supposedly newly renovated, and the rest of the rooms was still under some sort of renovation, it was a chaos, even lost all the water while taking a shower in the morning because they had a plumber running around doing stuff, whiteout warning the guests - just book somewhere else, it’s old, it’s extremely noisy, and it’s definitely not worth the money! Went down in the morning around 9.30 to look for some breakfast alternatives before check out, but no such luck! Some locals hang around downstairs drinking beer though, not exactly our kind of breakfast… A nice ocean view, but that’s all there is to it

If it was cooler it would’ve been great Rooms were recently renovated but A/C control was not available. Had to pull blinds at night because of lighthouse light so it was quite warm 27c. Food was good as was service in restaurant

Had a 2 day break, stayed in an ocean view room and had a great meal downstairs. Food was great, had scallops and oysters, best I have had for a long long time. Bar service good and prices normal. Live entertainment was on till 11pm. Room was in the newly renovated area, just like staying in a very large cruise cabin. Facilities were good and the balcony had lots of room to stretch out and watch the waves on the beach. Will be back.
