For some reason they couldn't find my reservation at first, but eventually they gave me a nice room. Location is very close to the station, walkable even during snow. Their breakfast and dinner is ok. Their outdoor onsen is beautiful during snow. But the place is old but well maintained. And for me, unlike other reviews, nobody offered me transport to the monkey park, they said no staff.

昔ながらの日本家屋の面影を残した温泉宿。 湯田中駅から徒歩2分と最高の立地。駅前のバス停からは竜王スキーパークへの無料シャトルバス、世界で唯一温泉に入る日本猿がみれる地獄谷野猿公苑への市バスがあり観光名所へのアクセスも抜群。 肝心の温泉は3種類。雪がチラつく中の露天風呂は湯加減もちょうど良くついつい長湯しがち。りんごの季節の10月〜3月は温泉にりんごを浮かべた熱々のりんご風呂が楽しめます。歴史あるヒノキ風呂は家族風呂としても利用でき、家族みんなで温泉を楽しむことが出来ます。 食事はりんごを食べて育った信州牛のステーキやしゃぶしゃぶ。サシのある和牛で脂の甘みを堪能でき絶品でした。メイン料理を支える一品一品にもこだわりが見え、朝晩の食事がとても充実していました。炊き立ての白米も絶品です。お新香だけで、お茶碗一杯いけます（笑） お宿のご主人、ご家族も温かみのある優しい人たちで身もココロも温かくなり、十分エネルギーを補充できました。 日頃の疲れを癒やし明日からの活力を得たいなら 是非、検討して間違いのないお宿ですよ。 ดูแลดีมากกกกกกถึงมากที่สุด เหมือนเรานานๆกลับบ้านที มีแต่คนตามใจเอาใจ ตื่นเช้ามีอาหารอร่อยๆรอเย็นก็มีอาหารอร่อยๆรอ ออนเซ็นก็มีบ่อให้เลือกหลายบ่อ คือพักแล้วสบายกายสบายใจ อยากไปเที่ยวไหนก็คอยดูแลรับส่งหาที่เที่ยวให้ บริการดีที่สุดดดดดดดดด

This place was a very cute, homely, with a family owned ryokan vibe. We had a nice spacious room, the biggest we had in our whole trip to Japan, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
The futons were so comfortable compared to other futons we slept on at other ‘trendy’ ryokans. The onsen was very nice and relaxing, they offered both private and public onsen and amenities.
The styling is old fashioned but this added to the charm of the place for me and I would definitely stay here again!

This place is incredible, everyone was so friendly. And it’s so unique and beautiful. Everything is super accessible and easy to find. Literally only 2 minutes from train station. The food was amazing both dinner and breakfast is very worth it. I am definitely going to book again.

전통료칸 경험하기에 저렴한 가격으로 아주 적합 했고 노천탕이 있어서 좋았어요. 하루만 숙박을 해서 좀 아쉬웠어요. 아침 식사도 옵션으로 참 좋았어요. 근데 실내 개인용 (private) 온천탕에 이물질이 많더라고요. 이숙소만이 아니라 시부에 있는 공용온천 9 욕탕에도 이물질이 아주 많았어요. 저희 방이 3층이었는데, 여행가방 들고 올라갔다 내려갔다 하기가 좀 어려웠어요. 주인 아저씨가 친절하게 도와주셨고 전통료칸이라 이해 합니다만 여행용가방 전용 엘리베이터를 설치하면 어떨지 제안해 봅니다.

Quaint family run Ryokan that’s big enough to offer everything you’d want / need, but small enough to feel like home for a couple days. Very friendly owners. Delicious breakfast included with our stay. Outdoor onsen was beautiful; indoor “family/private” onsen was nice with kids.
