Very nice small hotel. The lady boss was very welcoming. No one answered the phone call to make an appointment for pick-up, so I left a message. I thought no one would come, so I took the bus. I didn't expect that after arriving at the hotel, the lady boss said that she sent someone to pick us up but didn't pick them up. I was really sorry. The next day, I took the free shuttle arranged by the hotel to monkey park. The guy drove us all the way to the park entrance. The hotel also helped to send the luggage to the cafe opposite the train station. It was very convenient

Traditional, family-run ryokan. Not the place for you if you are looking for super modern digs. It was nonetheless cosy and very clean. Stayed there for two nights, wish we had gotten a chance to try their food. Anyway, service is excellent, they handwrote a little tag for me and stuck it on my luggage. You can book a private onsen for no extra charge - which is great if you want to shoot the breeze with a partner of the opposite gender. 10/10 experience.

Highly recommended! It is a family hotel, and the proprietress is very friendly. At first, I was a little worried that it would be a bit old since it opened in 1960, but it was not at all. The interior decoration style is very Japanese. The hotel can choose a set meal that includes dinner and breakfast, and the meals are delivered to the room. Personally, I think the meal is just so-so. Dinner is just Sukiyaki pot, a few slices of salmon sushi, and some side dishes. I didn't eat enough. The breakfast variety is very rich, and it is very cute when it is placed in a box. The hotel has a private bath, and you can take a bath while taking a private bath. There is only a place to wash hands in the room. There should be only one bathroom on each floor, which is separate for men and women and very clean. In addition to the hotel private bath, you will also be given a key to open other hot springs in the town, and you cannot take a bath in the hot springs in the town. When checking in, the proprietress will confirm the time of the private bath with you, the next morning, the breakfast time, and the time to send you to the station. The proprietress will carefully ask you where you are going, and then tell you the corresponding departure time, and then work back to the departure time. The only thing to note is that the proprietress and her son don't understand English very well. If you don't understand Japanese, you need a translator. This 2D player thinks the boss lady speaks very clearly in Japanese, which is much easier to understand than the Japanese listening test.

Very cool! I didn't find a parking lot, so my little brother picked me up from a far away place. I was really touched. The hotel has a private hot spring. With the key given by the hotel, you can also soak in nine hot springs on the hot spring street for free. Very close!

Had a lovely experience there tatami room and the nice sized rooms. Wish I had chose the food option but there were a few decent restaurants in the area. The private onsen was very nice and a bonus I lost almost 2 kilos just from using the onsen. It was great to wallk around the little town in wooden slippers and Yukata. Even spotted some of the Snow Monkeys in the town.

⭐Geographical location: Yudanaka Hot Spring is relatively close to Jigokudani Monuen, a 20-minute walk from the station. It should be noted that you can pick up the station before 5 pm. We arrived at 5:30, but the boss said we could not pick up. Although the distance is not long, it still takes a while to walk on the mountain road. You can also take a bus, which runs every half an hour. ⭐Service: There are two shopkeepers serving you, and their attitude is very good. They will help you deliver your luggage to the coffee shop next to the station when you travel the next day. It should be noted that if you check in after 3 pm, you will not be able to make calls in the morning. I left something in the room. No one answered the phone after three calls. In the end, I had to go to the store to get it again. ⭐Facilities: The room layout is relatively simple and the facilities are relatively simple. To be honest, the heating is relatively small and it is a bit cold at night. There is no shower room and toilet, and the sink only has cold water. Shower rooms and hot springs need to be charged separately, 500 yen. Public toilets (all small Japanese-style hotels are like this) are very clean, because there are few rooms and few guests, and you have never touched anyone else in the toilet. Anyway, the price/performance ratio is pretty good. ⭐Meals: Our order included dinner and breakfast, but the portions were small and not enough to fill us up. When we got out of the station, we had to remember to buy some food from Lawson. There are no convenience stores in the hot spring street! Mineral water is not provided, and there is an additional charge of +100yen. ⭐Hot spring: You can soak in 9 soups on the street, but there is only one key, so you have to go there separately. The private soup shop in the store is in B1. It is relatively simple, has a lot of moisture, and is not very clean. It is recommended to go to the public soup house. Although the boss said that there is no place to take a bath in the public bath, so you can only buy a private bath + shower, which is a bit embarrassing.

Absolute perfection. I felt genuinely touched by the heartfelt service provided by the innkeeper and her son. We felt welcomed and taken care of in their home. The room was spotless and you can feel the history and care of this 350 year old property. We understand the son is the 13th generation owner and the pride shows. This ryokan does not have the typical musty smell in other old buildings. Finally, the bath was great. Super hot water and clean. You are allowed to book a private session for the evening and morning you stay. Couldn’t have been more pleased, especially at the reasonable price offered.
