The staff really went out of their way to make our stay as best as possible. Even drove us at 21.00 to the Lawson as all the restaurants were closed. Be aware, there is only one shower for the whole Guesthouse. Can highly recommend!

Book this place and you might find out that your place looks like a soviet bunker. I wholeheartedly don’t recommend anyone to stay here.

The hotel is right on the hot spring street, which is nice for a morning and evening walk. The hot spring is public and very close. The hotel does not provide a pick-up service, but if you have a snow monkey pass, it is very close to take the bus. The bed is a bit dirty and the bathroom is shared.

It was a very interesting experience. There was no private bathroom, but the location was very good. The hostel provided transportation to the station and to watch the wild monkeys soak in the hot springs. If you take the bus yourself, it is also 100 meters away from the bus station. It is in the core area of the hot spring street, but it is not very convenient to eat around it. After all, it is too remote. If you like to experience the traditional Japanese hot spring street, it is highly recommended to experience it once. Thanks to the owner and the staff for their friendly reception.

For better or worse, I got the impression that it was an old inn.
However, the staff were polite.
The rooms are equipped with air conditioning and air purifiers, but no TVs, so if you're traveling with friends, you might want to bring some entertainment items with you. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, so it's difficult to get anything locally...However, the inn does have some playing cards and party goods. One of each.
