Convenient for skiing! Less than 5 minutes walk from the central cable car, there is ski equipment rental next to the hotel, and there are many restaurants around. The room was comfy, excellent service. I checked out in a rush this morning, front desk told me I have left something behind in my room. I responded, being sure I hadn't, until an elderly man I saw earlier from housekeeping came running down the stairs and handed me my travel charger and cables. A big thank you so much and sending me to the bus terminal in time. I love the view of the wintry slope from my room window especially.

Woah! This is one of the best ryokans we’ve been to. The staff was super attentive and could speak some English, the rooms were amazing (see the photos!). The onsen in the room was fantastic so there was no need for us to go to the public or private onsen downstairs.
The hotel is located 3 minutes away from the bus station and conveniently situated near everything. We’ve stayed at other ryokans but this one was top notch! We strongly recommend to stay at this place and will try to come back again with friends and family. Oh! The food was wow, too! We had breakfasts and dinners included and the sukiyaki dinner offered Yamagata A5 meat which was to die for. Breakfast was also great!
