This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, and this is not by fluke or accident as the second time I stayed was worse than the first. The hotel staff are rude, they lie, and discrimination seems to be celebrated there. At checkout I left the room spotless and even cleaned the toilet so that housekeeping didn’t have extra work as I like to do at hotels and vacation rentals, so I was very surprised that they wanted to keep $40 from my cash deposit with claims of “towels with makeup”. They wouldn’t show me the towels and only offered a photo on the receptionist’s smart phone that showed slightly soiled towels easily cleanable with bleach that could be used to scam every guest that supplied a cash deposit. One front desk worker lied and said she was the manager which was proven false after discussion with Wyndham Customer Service. This was frustrating, but I gave the location another chance to which I was disappointed once again. At check in, the front desk worker charged me $20 more to my card for the deposit but lied that she didn’t even when I showed her the transaction on my account. She lied about being booked when I inquired about extending my stay another night as I was able to book the same room easily through a third party company, and then told me I was on the “do not rent” list after she got confirmation of my reservation. I got my items together and was walking out with my hands full of luggage, she came at me screaming very aggressively, which scared me as I felt she was going to assault me and I wouldn’t be able to defend myself while carrying my things. I called Wyndham to complain and was told that the towel issue was at the discrediting of the franchisee, was ignored when I voiced the numerous other complaints, and was hung up on…. I still can’t believe how horrible the company treats guests. It should be noted that I am very friendly, clean, and conscientious of others on a regular basis and was so during this stay, and I don’t like to complain unless necessary. I clean the hotel room before I leave and leave cash tips for housekeeping when I am able so there is nothing striking about my behavior or demeanor that would explain such discriminatory treatment. I do however suffer from adhd, ptsd, and severe anxiety and panic disorders which I receive disability for, so I am often nervous with others and can be awkward within interactions. I’m also struggling with searching for my adult son who has been missing for two months, which I disclosed to the employee in hopes to evoke some compassion or kindness before she almost attacked me unprovoked and unable to defend myself as I was walking out hands full. I’m not sure why I was treated so horribly besides the fact that I stood up for myself against the illegitimate towel charges at the first stay but I have never been treated so bad by hotel staff in my life. Hands down, these two experiences were the worst I’ve ever had at any hotel in my 42 years and would warn anyone read
