We stayed 2 nights at the guesthouse. The family who owns it cares about you and your comfort all the time, a thing that we haven’t experienced at any other place in this country.
We stayed at the tent: it is spacious and much better than expected, super comfortable matress (even with a heating blanket in case you are cold, which can be in Xiahe) and pillows. Everything in the house is very clean, it’s only 5 minutes walking from Labrang monastery and 20 from the bus station.
We are glad we spent our time in Xiahe at this guesthouse, would come back for sure!!

It was a meaningful lodging experience as a guesthouse renovated from a traditional house of the Jang tribe. I felt good when the owner walked me through the door. It was better to sleep on a mattress than on the soft mattress of the Qinghai Province accommodation. You can also order Jang tribe food, and there is a Korean restaurant next door. One in Xining and one in Shahe. They provide tea that is good for altitude sickness. The friendly owner couple and their smart daughter make you feel good. It is a good value accommodation for mid- to long-term travelers from the northwest who can speak a little Chinese.

DDarylThe house was absolutely beautiful! The hosts were very kind and friendly. There were very good mountains for long hikes right behind the house and the views from the top of the mountain were very good. The house was also a medium walk away from the Labrang monastery and we found it very calming to get up early to spin the prayer wheels there. We absolutely recommend this beautiful house and helpful hosts for others.

XXiafeiniangniangThe Sangke grassland is so beautiful. It is a summer resort. The environment of this camp is very good. It is located in the depths of the grassland. It is very quiet and has no interference. There is a stream at the door. In the morning, you can listen to the flowing water and see the starry sky at night. The room is clean and hygienic, the facilities are very new, the bathroom is spacious, the hot water is sufficient, there is a special Tibetan hot pot, there is a light meal in the morning, and the boss is hospitable. AAnonymous UserWe stayed three nights at Nirvana Resort in early July and loved our time there. Spectacular location, the grasslands are alive with flowers and birds, and everyone at Nirvana was kind and helpful. We had our own car (ideal if possible) and alongside visiting Labrang Monastery and walking in the nearby hills, we also enjoyed driving around the backroads into Qinghai and immersing ourselves in the landscape. At the end of each day it was perfect to climb the hill to the Sky Bar and drink a beer while watching the land grow dark.

He will go to the mountains to pick small flowers with a special fragrance, dry them and then use them for aromatherapy every morning. The large French window in front of the tea table faces the mountain view. It is so nice to drink tea and chat here!

BBenxiangdaohangdedamaoThe cabin is in the Sangke Grassland, not too far from the road. Each cabin has its own bathroom. Meals can be delivered indoors or on the small balcony of the cabin. I saw some residents snacking directly on the grass outside the cabin. Originally wanted to try his family's ******* food, but was persuaded by the owner. I had a taste of his pan-fried noodles and forgot what. I squeezed the noodles into the sausage casing and then fried them. The taste is really strong, and many people may not be used to it. JJingshengjingseThe last stop of our Gannan trip was also the one that left the worst impression on us. When we first arrived at the hotel, we thought the service was ok. They helped us carry our luggage to the room, but the following experience greatly reduced our experience. When we arrived at the wooden house, someone came to let us ride horses. Because we were in the accommodation area, we thought it was a hotel, so we asked the price of 100 yuan for half an hour of riding in a big circle. There were 6 people riding horses, but we didn't know that they came back in less than 10 minutes. We didn't know where the person who agreed with us went, and we were threatened by the horseman. We found the hotel to help us deal with it, but we could only suffer a loss of 20 yuan to keep things quiet. We were all Tibetans and we were out again. This was the only depressing part of this trip. The room was generally ok. The upper bunk is not easy to climb up, the bathroom smells quite bad, there is nothing to eat around, it is very far, very far, very far from the county town and it is not convenient (Important things should be said three times). In fact, I don’t recommend staying here. Secondly, the hotel breakfast is too late. Since it is a homestay, it should have a sense of service, not catering to your time. The meal is not served until 8:30, which affects the departure. I saw several rooms were pushed with luggage by themselves at 8 o'clock. There was no one at the front desk in the morning of the second phase, so you don’t need to collect the deposit. In the morning, you have to wait for the front desk to refund the deposit, and you have to pull the luggage yourself. I shouted in the group for a long time to drive a tricycle to tow the luggage. In the end, I waited for half an hour before two people came and there was still no car, so the experience here is really bad, and the room rate is still the most expensive

FFengzhengailvxingThe hotel is quite remarkable. It's a ten-minute walk to the station and an eight-minute walk to Labrang Monastery. The hotel is probably the best on that street. It's more convenient and the staff is friendly. The room is very big and the sanitary conditions are OK. Overall it's great. I will stay here again next time I come to Xiahe.
