Great place near the touristy location abit of work but its still resonable , for someone is dont care about space just for sleeping this should be fine

It is in a great location walking distance to the metro. We met some lovely people working at the hostel who made our stay very nice. There were also some very cute dogs. My only feedback is that the bathroom could use more cleaning.

I understand that it is a hostel and it is quite cheap, but I don't understand the comments that praise the cleanliness of the place. The common bathroom was full of mold and rusty pipes, it was obvious that no one had cleaned it in months. During my stay I always tried to use the public toilets on the street which were much cleaner than this bathroom.
They gave us a different room than the one we booked and I noticed that someone had smoked and left the cigarette butt with the ashes next to the bed on the floor.
That said, the sheets and the futon were clean and comfortable.

I came to Xi'an alone for a trip and was lucky to be here. I was very happy to meet a group of interesting friends, volunteers from all over the world, playing board games, visiting the morning market, and cooking together.
