Spark by Hilton Wytheville East Main Street

We stopped here around midnight while traveling home. Check in was easy. Our room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable especially the pillows. Had a great nights rest. We understand they just finished remodeling and didn’t have in room coffee pots yet. Coffee downstairs was very good. Breakfast was as expected Continental; bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereals; no complaints at all. We had a very positive experience. Right off the interstate and next to a gas station.

Hotel is set up in an "U" configuration, lots of stairs and hallways. While hotel may have been updated recently, bathroom must have been missed.Bathroom had weird smell, no non-slip in the tub, mold in the tub corner, and safety grab bar served no purpose since located in useless area.

Bathroom was in poor repair. Toilet was missing parts, vanity was constructed of plywood, caul in various places was cracked and moldy. Bed however was very comfortable BUT the ceiling paint above the bed was cracked. The breakfast bar in the lobby has a wall missing the wall paper. Management needs to walk the property with a punch list. Obviously they remodeled and did well on many aspects but the misses are glaring and unacceptable.

Continental breakfast was just bagels, fruit and oatmeal. The second floor smelled like Cheech and Chong had a party and the manager said he couldn’t do anything about it not acceptable. The room we stayed in was just renovated and the shower fixtures was pulling out of the wall. This place should not be a Hilton brand Hotel. Maybe call it Days inn or something!

This hotel was a good value compared to other hotels in the area. Staff was very friendly and helpful upon arrival. Room was very quiet and comfortable with lots of lighting options. Breakfast was adequate, with choices of waffles, cereal, bagels and more. Our only complaint was that the tub filled with water while showering. But it was a hot shower and very welcomed after a long day. The drain may just need a good cleaning out. We forgot to let the staff know upon check-out.

Very nice hotel. Pool and hot tub were great! Bed was incredibly cozy!!! Comforter was sooooooo soft and warm. I didn't want to get out of bed this morning! Small breakfast set up in the morning. Had all the kids favorites! Room was spacious and clean. Would definitely stay again!
