My 3rd afternoon tea at Redcoats. A beautiful converted farmhouse with a lovely and well planted garden area. Plenty of parking, friendly staff and delicious afternoon tea. The very pleasant interior is tastefully decorated with numerous interesting and quirky ornaments. The history of the farmhouse is suggested by the antique farm equipment decoratively placed around the property.

This is our favourite local restaurant. The food is always great, the atmosphere is quiet and calm and the staff are polite and friendly. It’s a bit more expensive than other local places but it’s worth it, especially for a special occasion.

I attended with my family to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. My parents. They are very sentimental. As am I. The setting was absolutely perfect. The service was just right. The food was what we expected. Tailored and local. Well done all involved.

Firstly, this is a beautiful venue. Tasteful decor, attentive staff and great ambiance. It is regrettable that we can only give the place three stars as a wedding venue. We use the Farmhouse on a regular basis, this was the first time we experienced one of their weddings. The barn is beautiful, but so unbelievably hot in the summer weather, with no temperature control or air conditioning. All the guests found the room incredibly uncomfortable. This coupled with the fact the food was delayed so much, we have never experienced such slow service. The food was delicious, although very few of the wedding party had the dessert, as by this stage they were all too hot and fed up of waiting, therefore left the warm, sticky barn to cool down outside. For these reasons I would struggle to recommend this venue for a summer wedding. A real pity, as we do love The Farmhouse.

We got married at Redcoats last week, and it was simply the best day. From start to finish the day ran so smoothly and this wouldn’t have been possible without our wedding coordinator Charlie and the incredible team at Redcoats. Charlie and the team took all the pressure off of us and left us with nothing to worry about. It truly couldn’t have happened without the amazing team at Redcoats. We’ve had such good feedback from our guests, stating how lovely the venue was and how good the food was! We are super grateful for how the team took all the pressure off of us and created the most special day for us. Would highly recommend The Barns at Redcoats as they do go above and beyond for you!!

Our wedding was perfect and it just felt completely seamless all day. There were no issues at all, and it took the stress away from us completely. Everyone has said how amazing it was, how helpful you all were, and how well run everything was. The food was fantastic, service amazing, and the set up was perfect. Absolutely incredible wedding venue and perfect team! Extra shoutout to Charli and her team for bringing everything together and making it the best day of our lives. Could not recommend Redcoats more!

What excellent service! I’ve been meaning to eat here for years and now have and it was really good. The reception was friendly; they were unfazed by our daughter being late; they were sensitive and helpful on allergies; service was perfectly paced. Extra hot plates came with a nice warning. Everything made us feel welcome and cared for. The food was lovely and given the Rachel Reeves cost hikes the hospitality world has suffered I thought fairly priced. The service charge of 12.5% was welcome and well earned at such a good restaurant. The grounds looked inviting; parking is easy; background music is there but it’s gentle for a change not encouraging guests to shout. Congratulations to the farmhouse team. We will be back hopefully soon given family live so close by.

We got married at Redcoats just over 2 months ago in March and it was the best day of our lives! The events team there were nothing short of perfect throughout the whole planning process and I wish I could do it all over again. Shoutout to Charlie, who was with us from start to finish and was so organised and just lovely to have around on the actual day. You can tell the whole team are absolutely 100% dedicated to making your day as special as possible. It was everything we could've wished for and MORE. We had nothing but compliments from all our guests about how lovely the venue was, how smoothly the whole day ran, and how delicious the food was. I had multiple guests ask if it was possible to get the cheesecake recipe! We were lucky enough to get married at the Barns at Redcoats in May 2025, and our entire experience from start to finish was amazing. The venue is beautiful and historic and has ample onsite accommodation for guests to stay in - all rooms were lovely, spacious and clean. The barn is absolutely stunning and creates a wonderful atmosphere for the ceremony. All of the staff, particularly our co-ordinator Charli and onsite support Ellie, were friendly, helpful and welcoming. In the lead up to the wedding, every small detail was covered off and the team were always on hand to answer any questions we had, and on the day everything ran flawlessly and really put us at ease and made sure we could fully enjoy our day. We had our ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening party all in the main barn, which meant the team had to execute 2 major room turnarounds in short spaces of time - these were done to perfection. They really helped to bring our ideas to life on the day. The food was incredible, from the canapés to the 3 course wedding breakfast and the evening food (we received lots of positive feedback from guests on the quality of the food). Overall, a wonderful wedding venue and a wonderful team!
