Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. Easy to travel to all the small surrounding villages and pubs as well as Oxford, Henley on the Thames, Turbel and Marlow. Very quiet and the breakfast menu was outstanding!

What a shame! In the past we’ve visited the Frog and have always been pleased with the food and service, until today 09/08/23. We booked a table for 14:00hrs and arrived twenty minutes late due to the road closures and diversions in place. We explained this to the gentleman with the ponytail and tried to order some drinks, he was extremely rude and exclaimed, “I want your food order first, as the kitchen is closing” had they explained that the kitchen closed at 14:30 when we booked, then we could have made alternative plans. He was rude, obnoxious and an angry person who really doesn’t deserve the trade. We also ordered two single serve Prosecco’s and a Ginger beer, for £28.40, was originally on the bill for £32.40. There are other establishments close by that offer better food and service for less! Shame as we won’t return or recommend.

We were staying nearby and looking for somewhere nice to have an evening meal. The Frog seemed like a possibility and we are so glad that we went there. We were made very welcome received a wonderful menu and best of all there was no 'background music'. The atmosphere was calm and very well organised. We all made different selections and were absolutely delighted with our choices. If you are in the area give this place a go.

Stopped for lunch. Very busy but we we able to get a table. Traditional pub and we had burgers and beer. Outstanding and an easy refuelling stop! Good Wi Fi but no mobile phone signal. The pub itself is very welcoming with a great open fireplace to sit by. The location is pretty isolated and access is via single track roads

Stayed for a couple of nights in November 2022. Very friendly welcome, excellent food in the restaurant, good beer, roaring open fire and a stunning full English/Irish breakfast. Rooms are a little basic but clean and comfortable.

Stayed here twice when working in the area. The food is first rate with an excellent menu that features a good number of 'specials' which change frequently. House wine was rough until the manager offered me a glass of Spanish Rioja which was great. They only have three maybe four double bedrooms. On my first stay the room was small and there was no desk or chair to work at. For my second stay I had a more spacious room with a table I could use. Good Wi Fi but no mobile phone signal. The pub itself is very welcoming with a great open fireplace to sit by. The location is pretty isolated and access is via single track roads that were very flooded by heavy rain. A full cooked breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again and definitely recommend the food.

Friendly and helpful waiter who found us a table despite us not booking. The inside is lovely, a traditional pub feel with a great choice of beers, wines and other drinks. Absolutely delicious food - I had a wonderfully done lamb with a great sauce and lovely seasoning and my wife had a burger, which had herbs that made it outstanding. Clearly a well known place and well worth a trip.

Great stay in a beautiful location after a lovely Chiltern Way walk. Was warmly greeted and shown to a very well decorated, sizeable and comfortable room with great facilities. Also had a lovely bath in a large and well equipped bathroom (though there was no shower unfortunately, but was still very welcome) Dinner was delicious and staff were very friendly and accommodating for the most part with a great sense of humour.. Had some trouble sleeping at first due to a large spider in the room, but eventually had a good night's rest. Breakfast was also a very nice experience. Only real issue I had was that there wasn't anyone there at checkout and had to wait a bit for the cleaner to get someone. Apart from that it was a fantastic stay that I would strongly recommend to make part of a good walking holiday.
