Very helpful friendly reception staff , we couldn’t get in the main restaurant so they called “The willows “ which was on the same site to make sure we could get food there and also watch the football which was what interested my son. Room was lovely, clean, comfy huge bed and lovely powerful shower in the bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was buffet, constantly topped up with fresh food. Lovely quiet setting would definitely come back but would make sure we arrived in time to use the pool.

Spoilt what was a very nice hotel, a hotel with no reception and you have to check in on a screen, so no personal touch so first impressions not good. The bar area food menu is very basic now compared to old hotel, burgers, pizza's, chicken wings. The reception are and bar is neon modern but rooms not changed, comfortable beds but decor is old and tired, the air conditioning units are awful, very noisy kept me awake all night. Room key would not work and no-one around to sort it out , took me over 1 hour to sort it out which was ridiculous. Won't be using the hotel again which is a shame as I used to use this hotel a lot.

We had booked and were emailed nearer our stay to advise of the rebrand of the hotel which was now called the Drift Inn. The video they sent of the hotel immediately put us off staying here and we did consider cancelling our booking. The pink neon sign outside of Drift Inn on arrival put us off immediately. On entering reception more pink neon everywhere made my heart sink. The place looked awful very cheap and nasty The automated check in was also disappointing as I like to speak to a person. The machine issued a key but no indication where our rooms were. The bedroom was perfectly ok but nothing special. Very sadly no air conditioning so the room was boiling. Nothing to indicate when breakfast was. Poster on the wall with a QR code to contact reception via WhatsApp. What about elderly guests with no smartphone? Bar/restaurant had lovely staff but the menu was very basic. Just burgers and pizzas. The shuffleboard games and darts made the place very noisy.. The whole place seemed like it was geared to young people. I would not stay here again.
