The George Rooms - Boutiquehotel Style

you feel more like you're in a shared apartment than a boutique hotel. The concept is as follows: There are 4 (bed)rooms, a shared kitchen, a shared living/lounge area and two very small bathrooms for shared use, one of which has a shower. Plus points: A huge advantage of the George Room is the very cool location; you can easily reach all the relevant sightseeing spots in Würzburg on foot from here. There is also a tram stop right outside the door (4 stops to the main train station and 1 stop to the central bus station). There is also a supply of food and drink: there is a burger restaurant downstairs in the building and the university cafe and a bakery are just around the corner. The kitchen is also very well equipped and there is a Nespresso machine with plenty of coffee pads for free use, which we thought was great. We thought the price for the overnight stay was completely OK. The contactless check-in via a key box was also problem-free and the written contact with the landlord Georg was very friendly and helpful, and good tips for Würzburg were also given. However, there were also disadvantages: The George Rooms are quite thinly soundproof - this can be a bit annoying. In addition, the shower/bathroom doesn't always look very appetizing when 7-8 people have already showered before you. In very warm weather, it also gets very warm in the bedrooms, there is no air conditioning. And for us, the bed was really too soft (in contrast to the previous reviewer Paul, who found it too hard). Conclusion: We would book here again. However, you should be clear about the overall concept when booking and not be bothered by the shared use of the bathroom and kitchen.
