Leider ist die gute Idee die hinter diesem Hotel steht nicht optimal umgesetzt. Ein altes Industriegebäude umgebaut zum Hotel mit individuell gestalteten Zimmern. Unser Zimmer war OK, mal von der nicht vorhandenen Verdunklungsmöglichkeit abgesehen. Frühstück gut. Personal freundlich. Das war dann das Positive. Erster Eindruck des Hotels bei Ankunft.... verschmutzte Fassade, Spinnennester an Äußeren Fensterrahmen. Die vorhandene Mini-Terasse eigentlich ganz süss aber nicht nutzbar weil komplett verdreckt. Wenn Betrieb beim Frühstück ist bleiben die Tische unabgeräummt obwohl zwei Mitarbeiterinnen vor Ort sind. Gäste mussten ewig auf einen Platz warten. Ausser Frühstück leider keine Gastro obwohl mit einem Bistro geworben wird. Lage des Hotels ist auch nicht optimal aber OK. Schwebebahnstation in 5 Min. Fußläufig erreichbar (über eine Bahn-Überführung welche in Kurven mit stetiger Steigung gebaut ist) FAZIT: würde ich spontan ein Hotel in Wuppertal benötigen und zufällig hier vorbeikommen würde ich sicher nicht hineingehen bei dem ersten Eindruck !

Auf der Suche nach einer Location für meinen runden Geburtstag, bin ich auf das AMICAL gestoßen. Meine Frau und ich wohnen etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt, so dass das Hotel ein perfekter Ort für meine Feier war. Ich möchte mich auch im Namen meiner Frau und allen Gästen nochmal für den tollen Abend im AMICAL bedanken. Familie Nicoli und das ganze Team haben einen Riesen-Job gemacht, ne glatte 1👍👏🙏 Alles war bestens, ganz toller Service, ganz tolles Essen und eine wunderbare Location. Auch der kostenlose Parkplatz wurde eifrig genutzt. Einige meiner Gäste haben übernachtet. Preis-/Leistung völlig ok. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Insgesamt wirklich empfehlenswert.

Gut gelegen für eine Fahrt tagsüber mit der Schwebebahn oder ein Besuch des Visiodroms. Abends würde ich das Hotel nicht verlassen. Oberbarmen unterscheidet sich nicht wesentlich von Islamabad. Ich fühlte mich nicht sicher und würde daher nicht mehr zurückkommen. Das Hotel ist ansprechend eingerichtet, mit vielen Kunstwerken und hohen Räumen. Die sind leider etwas düster eingerichtet, aber v.a. knallen die Türen die ganze Nacht. Kein Problem wenn Sie um 5 Uhr aufstehen müssen. Die Bedienung des Stv. Hoteldirektors wie auch des jungen Barmannes war abartig unfreundlich. Ich fühlte mich nicht willkommen.

Ganz ok mit kleinen Einschränkungen
Insgesamt ok. Auch Preis-Leistung. Nettes Design im ganzen Haus.
3 Minuspunkte:
1. bei Checkin wollte man uns gleich noch ein Frühstück für unverschämte 22€ pro Person berechnen, obwohl nicht gebucht und auch nicht gefragt, ob wir es wünschen.
War dann kein Problem es zu streichen, aber die Abfolge war schräg. Und - für einen anständigen Preis hätten wir das Frst. vielleicht
auch genommen!
2. Trotz Buchung für 2 waren nur Handtücher für 1 Person auf dem Zimmer
3. zeitweise kam kein Wasser im Bad aus Hahn u Dusche.
