The breakfast was superb and the staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value for money paid for our stay.
Some of the carpets and decor in some areas needs updating but overall the quality of food and the staff at breakfast made our stay thank you

The hotel is very tired behind the scenes needs a spruce up , some floors are very uneven , trying to eat my cooked breakfast was a chore trying to eat with table and char rocking trying not to spill the drinks , the bedroom was very tired and the bathroom wastes were really smelly and the room smelt damp/musty .

Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location. Staff were very professional and attentive. Small hiccup with our evening meal, but the manager Greg, rectified this.
Bar staff Tom and Hannah, both deserve a medal! They were both amazing
Our room was stunning, a junior suite in the attic, it could not have been more perfect.
All in all, a very lovely stay, which we are keen to repeat soon.

Set for an afternoon tea . The staff were frendly and polite showed us to our table no problem. However, non of the following matched, The china cup, saucer, side plate, milk jug were all different. The coffee pot, tea pot, milk jug did not match either. An och potch of items were put together without care or attention .

Afternoon tea was very homely, the sandwiches were fresh, the desserts were beautifully presented & the tea hit the spot. Beautiful setting with lots of history to explore a full afternoon of culture. Friendly & prompt staff ❤️ would recommend.

The hotel is shabby and not very clean. Tha carpets are very old and to access our room we had to go up a very narrow staircase. The room was just about adequate with a comfy bed. We.had dinner in the board room . The menu was OK if you want a burger or fish and chips. The sea bass was sold out. We didn't bother the next night. The staff were a saving grace as was the breakfast. They however cannot cover up for the very poor state of the building. We paid £350 for two nights with breakfast. Very poor value

Where do I start! Took our friends with us hoping for a lovely hotel experience ?!! Not! Think we were given servants rooms!! Absolutely awful room overlooking other dark rooms which looked directly into out bedroom so had to keep shabby curtains closed! - looked like a prison! Very old not matching furniture - although bathroom ok .. The whole of the hotel was very tired and shabby … like a warren trying to find our bedroom … Mealtime was a disaster … hardly anything left on menu to eat … I had a deconstructed chicken burger —— I expected a more refined menu for the write up and the price !!! Staff friendly and view from front of hotel beautiful …
