Asperion Hillside Hotel

Stayed here a few times, love the hidden location and friendly staff. Also the electric shower system is wonderful. Food is good too, only downside is there are only 9 parking spaces.

Nice and clean ? Hygiene

We stayed here for 2 nights in room 12 (deluxe king) and room 7 (junior double). Both rooms were facing the beautifully maintained gardens and were quiet. The hotel itself is on a busy road with minimal parking spaces. We struggled to find a space on our second night and had to park in front of the door entrance, one of the members is registered disabled and is limited with walking long distances. Room 7 was quite compact but adequate with an en-suite shower. The windows in the bedroom need attention as the double glazing gas has blown so had that condensation thing going on. Both rooms looked tired and need upgrading in decoration and furniture. Beds were very comfy. Pillows weren’t great. Bathroom shower was lovely and powerful and towels were fluffy. Both bedrooms were clean. Good choice for breakfast, although I’m not one for having to choose what you want to eat the night before as more often than not , there will be waste. Staff were attentive and pleasant. Would have given them 4/5 BUT our room was not cleaned even though the hanging notice WAS switched the right way. My son’s room was cleaned. We all left at around 12 noon. The ironing board and iron which we left outside was taken but our room was not serviced. The hanging notice was as we left it. I’m sure they have cameras in the hallway so they can check. What annoyed me the most was that I was challenged about whether I was sure that I didn’t leave the do not disturb part on, I would not have gone down that evening to ask why our room wasn’t cleaned if I had! Needless to say, I would have thought even a complimentary drink to apologise would have been nice , but nothing. So when you’re paying over £530 for 2 nights you’re expecting your room to be done. So needless to say, disappointed Finishing off on a good point. They have an honesty bar where you can help yourself to drinks and put your name and room number down.

This is truly a hidden gem that is welcoming, comfortable, understated and clean. The food is one of the highlights of the experience - creative, delicious, fresh and worth a stop in and of itself. The staff are equally as wonderful - friendly, efficient, helpful and professional. I've stayed many times over the years and look forward to many more.

Gorgeous place especially the Koi pond.Lovely room.Tasty & generous breaky.Very helpful staff.Didn’t need to eat in re evening or day but would consider that in future.Also re their Sunday roasts.Great venue for a small,special event tho limited parking.Please add a water jug,tooth brush mug/water glass & hot choc sachets.Also window in room 8 needs to be mended plus maintained as paint working peeling off.Staff should really have a room of their own to chill out in plus one for business meetings as that’s not suitable to have in lounge with guests around.If you have other visitors on an official basis,you should let guests know in advance re privacy/planning.Honesty bar is very £!
