The hygiene is too poor! The air conditioner is too noisy! The management is poor, and the whole hotel smells like cigarettes!

This place is a dump. It should not be a Quality Inn as there is no Quality at this hotel. It is extremally run down and housekeeping is not properly prepping the rooms. As well, the hotel appears to be half full of families that appear to being staying here 7 days a week. I was told that the city or local church was using the hotel as a homeless shelter. If you do not mind a dirty upkeep spot and you do not have kids you may be ok with his terrible property.

Please trust me and spend whatever you must (and I know it's already expensive) to get yourself a better hotel room somewhere else. We paid $197 for this hotel for one night, and that is an absolutely ridiculous, obscene price for what you get. I wouldn't pay more than 120 for this place. In fact, we were just in Chicago for three nights in a gorgeous hotel by the river for $155 a night. How on earth they could charge so much for so little in this place is a mystery. Really needs a lot of time and money to make it halfway decent again. It was filthy, had living and dead bugs, a window wouldn't lock shut, and it just looked dingy in a very unnerving way. I always read reviews before I book hotels, so I was honestly shocked at how bad this place was. The so-called transitional housing situation wasn't an issue at all. The people were very nice, as were all the staff. But the place is absolutely aching for better housekeeping standards and needs much more money spent on fixing it up.

The hotel is absolutely disgusting, staff are rude, and there are different smells on each floor. We left because we were uncomfortable, and extremely concerned for our safety. Poorly lit, the room itself was disgusting. There were stains all over the bed skirts, on the tub, and behind the bathroom door. The dresser was missing two drawers, and paint was peeling off the ceiling. The floor we stayed on reeked of stale cigarettes and ****, and there were stains all over the floors in the hall.

I tried to stay at this dreadful hotel because it was affiliated with Comfort Inn. Driving in, I realized my error. There is trash everywhere. There was no one at the front desk, and the lobby stank of body odor and smoke. When I called from my car to cancel, the rude front desk person (who I guess got back from his break) called me a liar and told me to go f%$k myself. I then tried to contact the General Manager, Lisa, who never took my call and never returned my call. I will call Quality Inn HQ. This place is unsafe and should be shut down.

On December 30, 2022 I scheduled a pick up at Skinner’s Auction in Marlborough, Ma and since it was nearly a 5 hour drive each way I decided to find a room nearby and take my time and enjoy a 2 day getaway. I am a Gold Choice Privileges Reward member so decided to use my points for a stay, and found a nearby Quality Inn in Worcester that seemed to offer what I needed and a hot breakfast to boot. Since I trusted Choice Hotels from previous experience I had no concerns in booking, until I arrived in the late afternoon. Even from the parking area I could see that this 3 story building housed a questionable clientele, with balconies with the belongings of the homeless stored in plain view. Entering the lobby it seemed like a low end Motel that should have had a number in the name, but because of the time checked in. In short time while bringing in my things started feeling uncomfortable with the clientele milling around and no one speaking English. We locked ourselves in to a very sad room (Room 125 if you need to see) that was at least 50 years out of date. The place was in poor repair, the molding was coming off the wall, the fixtures rusty; but the beds were clean and no sign of bugs (but the smell of bug spray could give you a headache. On waking I went to the Hot Breakfast, what a joke. The hot breakfast was packets of Instant Oatmeal without hot water. We packed up early so we could find a dinner for breakfast. Now our fear of robbery came true, not from outside but from the Desk. I was told that even though I had paid in full with my reward points I was liable for a $44 “convenience fee”. Of course I knew this was a scam and provided documentation showing I had paid in full with points, but this wasn’t enough. We were held against our will and in complete humiliation until they could locate a General Manager and weren’t allowed to leave. After time passed and no General Manager showing up I just left, I wasn’t paying their “convenience fee” and believe me there was no conveniences. On arriving home later that day there was an email from the General Manager with an invoice showing $0 balance. You would think that this would be enough, but I made the decision of advising Choice Hotels and Barclay Bank of my experience. This was an even worse experience. After multiple calls to their Customer Services in India after a total of 5 hours (mostly on hold) I eventual was given a Supervisor named Heider who was the most useless human I have ever dealt with. He could care less about our treatment, being held against our will, and being charged $44 convenience fee. So please avoid this hotel, sleep in your car instead. Don’t expect any care or satisfaction from Customer Service at either Choice Privilege or Barclay Bank. Not all Choice Hotels are like this, maybe it’s just a sign of the times. All I can say is that I don’t plan on using my Barclay card to accumulate rewards. If you want verification my case number is 11115757 at

It felt like it was an apartment complex for transients who are there on vouchers. A lot of people outside the lobby chain smoking cigarettes. Parking lot was covered in cigarette butts, trashcans outside the hotel were overflowing with trash. The lobby was often filled with sketchy people. The guy at the front desk who checked me in didn't greet me or put on a professional customer service persona. The carpet in my room had to be replaced. There was some kind of gum or other sticky substance in the floor. The room was dark and dreery and didn't feel homey or kept up well. I picked this place because it was the cheapest I could find. As they say, cheap isn't quality and quality isn't cheap. Look elsewhere. It was a scummy and sketchy hotel.

Wish I looked at reviews before booking this filty discusting hotel. First room had a toilet not flushed...chewing gum stuck on headboard. Phone ripped out with wires hanging. Mold everywhere. Grass not cut outside and pool covered with damage tarp and pile of garbage in center of tarp. Got moved to another room which was just as bad. Garbage on corridors lobby everywhere. I could not find another hotel in city and left at 4am. Even considered sleep in car. This dump should be shut down. Paid $190 plus. Going forward I will check reviews.
