Travelodge Northampton Wootton

The travel lodge at Wooton was on the outskirts of the town near the m1 motorway The decor is very run down a side door with broken glass and a weedy path greets you on your approach from the car park. The room was comfortable the bed very comfortable. Shower was fine coffee tea avaliable in room. We arrived at 2.00am but not a problem as a lovely girl called Monique I believe sorted us out on arrival letting us use her mobile phone as we had a problem to sort out. Her warm welcome was very much appreciated I asked for an ironing board and iron in the morning again no problem from another female member of staff. Stayed two nights and again was helped by the male receptionist to order a taxi which to Luton Airport had to be booked over the phone this gentleman made the call through his phone. The Toby restaurant annexed to the hotel was also in need of decor refresh bathrooms particularly bad smell. Only instant coffee available with water from an old boiler type of thing really out dated. Should be made clearer that you have to order from the bar section and pay in advance before going to get your breakfast.!!! Overall OK for the money staff excellent let down by the decor and in need of a cleaning modern upgrade. Location would require a car as about 5 miles from northampton Town centre

Disgrace. On booking,was no mention of pub being closed,so no food or drink anywhere. Disabled dad was stuck. We asked to move hotels,was no told no,so ask for a refund,told no. Checked out after 1 night,loosing a lot of money. Smokers in bedrooms,call girls,the lot.

Noisy in and out, dogs barking, no one on reception for ages on check in, waited 10 mins at 6.30 pm, no one to speak to when leaving either

We spent a Friday night at the Travelodge as we were watching our football team at the Sixfields stadium the next day,the travelodge is showing its age but is very clean next door you have the toby carvery which did excellent food and the toby was getting a makeover the next week.We would stay again if in the area especially as we only paid £26 and parking was strsight in front of the hotel and free.

This place seemed tired and in need of refreshment, certainly since we last visited. It probably didn’t help that we had been at a rival chain’s place in Leicester the night before, which was much better, but more expensive. It was cheap here at just 25 quid a night for a double room. On arrival the adjoining Toby Inn was chaotic and busy. Hard to park. No one at reception despite waiting about 15 minutes - we had to ring someone and ask them to come as they were elsewhere making up rooms. Multitasking to save owners money I guess. To be fair she was nice enough when she appeared. We had a challenging weekend so didn’t need any hassle and just wanted to relax. She did swap our room to ground floor as we had luggage. There’s no lift. The room was okay l, if a bit cramped, and it was clean enough. Bathroom sink was stained. Shower didn’t want to drain properly(probably blocked). Onsite carvery pub has gone downhill and wouldn’t recommend. It did appear to be quiet for breakfast. Due refurbishment starting 17th February apparently.

Pleasant staff, kind and warm, we really enjoy having Andrea at reception as she is open to help with anything. We have a really good staying because of her and staff We are really pleased with everything at the hotel, and thanks to the staff nothing is missing from our staying
