Unsere Kabine war im Schlafteil in einem schlechten Zustand, es roch alt und muffig und nach Schimmel, ich fand das ausgesprochen eklig. Die Fenster waren quasi blind und das eine ließ sich nicht richtig schließen. Die Verdunkelungsmöglichkeit war gut, das WC und die Dusche auch, das Frühstück ebenso. Aus einem ehemaligen dreistöckigen Schlafwagenabteil war ein Zweier Abteil geworden. Das hatte zur Folge, dass man auf dem unteren Bett nicht sitzen konnte und sich auch zu zweit kaum in der Kabine bewegen konnte. Wäre alles in einem gut renovierten Zustand gewesen, hätte ich mich sicherlich wohler gefühlt. Bei schlechtem Wetter hätte man sich nicht angenehm aufhalten können.

Am Fuße der Burg Wolkenstein befindet sich das Zughotel, was auch zum Imbiss einlädt. Ich kann hier nur den Imbiss bewerten. Der Zug sieht sehr gepflegt aus und erhielt einen frischen Anstrich. Im forderten Teil befindet sich ein Imbiss. Die Speisen liegen zwischen 3,00 und 9,00€. Ich entschloss mich einen Nudeleintopf für 5,50€. Geschmacklich war dieser für einen Imbiss gut und es gibt soweit nichts zu bemängeln, bis auf die Temperatur. Leider war dieser nicht warm und ein weiterer Gast der Nudeln mit Wurstgulasch hatte beschwerte sich darüber ebenfalls. Dafür ein Punkt Abzug. Sonst kann man den Imbiss empfehlen und wer Lust auf eine Nacht im Zug hat, der findet hier die pure Eisenbahnromatik.
