Since new ownership, this beautiful historic property has become an absolute disgrace compared to what it used to be. Communication is horrific and staff do not answer the phone. They showed absolutely no consideration or care for myself or my family. I will never book with them again. There are many other beautiful places to stay in Wolfville, sadly this is no longer one of them.

I had booked a room here for my adult daughter and her boyfriend as a nice little getaway - we had stayed here a number of years ago and it was wonderful. However, as others have said, it's not what it used to be. There was only one staff person on site, and he had little interest in engaging with guests. They went down for breakfast at 9:30am, certainly a reasonable hour to expect breakfast, and were told that they'd stopped serving breakfast at 9:15. When they had checked in the previous evening, they were not told the breakfast hours, which is usually part of the check in procedure at a B&B. I suspect, as others have said, that there is actually no breakfast as there was no evidence of food having been served. On the plus side, they said the room was clean and comfortable. All in all, given the number and quality of the other B&Bs in Wolfville, I would recommend staying in one of the others.

We arrived at the Victoria Inn, no vehicles in the parking lot, not a good sign. A young man showed us our room. We had booked for two nights. Smell of old but to expect in a Heritage Inn. We opened all the windows to leave fresh air in. The room was ok, bathroom renovated and clean. We stayed in the suite room. The first night only one pillow case on a pillow, bed sheets didn’t feel freshly washed. No pillow case on other pillow. Old towels that need to be replaced. TV did not work no service. Were ready to leave the next morning but asked the young university foreign gentlemen who works there to wash mattress cover, all sheets and towels which he did and appreciated. Ee stayed the second night. Young workers were very nice and ready to help. The lawn was not mowed, could be due to no mowing before June, however the property needs to be updated and money invested into it. Too bad because nice location and walking distance to activities and restaurants. Would I refer friends to this Inn not really.

From the time we arrived at Victoria’s Historic Inn we felt something was off. The building is very rundown and in need of repair. There was a host present but not a warm welcome. Our room was not very clean. Early in the evening the telephone in the vestibule area kept ringing and nobody would answer it. Eventually i went downstairs and unplugged the phone. In the middle of the night the telephone in our room rang a few times, there was a strange noise when I answered it and I ended up unplugging it as well. In the morning when we went downstairs for breakfast the Inn seemed unusually quiet. There were no staff around. There was no breakfast. The kitchen was dark and it seemed like they had no intention of serving breakfast. We left our room key on the table in hall as instructed and left. NEVER TO RETURN!

The Inn is certainly in need of refreshing - and please bring back breakfast year round! At the very least, bottled water, a tea and coffee station available 24/7. Things are looking worn out, and only one full size towel in the bathroom is not okay!

I stayed here for 2 nights as part of a photography tour of Nova Scotia. I would NOT stay here again. The house is beautiful but definitely needs some upkeep. The rooms were not clean and were not serviced at all during my stay. One of the other members of our group had to request someone to come and change the sheets on her bed as they were not clean. For breakfast, no one appeared until we finally called from the lobby phone. There was one choice for breakfast, no juice or cereal/milk. When we returned in the evening, our dishes from that morning were still on the table, exactly as we had left them. One of the rooms is immediately off the dining room and the noise from the phone in the lobby and the banging of dishes etc continued until well into the night. From my second floor room, I could hear 3 men talking below my room and this continued until at least 2 AM. I finally got up, opened the window and asked them to please be quiet. Whoever is operating this B&B obviously has NO clue about how to run a successful business. I will never stay there again.

The pictures on the website do not show how it looks now. The grass has not been mowed this year and the weeds are just as tall as the grass. Bushes are growing out of control. The tablecloths in the dining room had crumbs on them from the days before. The Keurig machine made the coffee taste funny which led me to believe it had not bee cleaned in a long time. The toilet seat in our bathroom was so loose it was almost falling off. The grime around the connections was so thick I did not want to try tightening it. The sink took forever to empty so the drain was most likely clogged. In spite of leaving a sign on our door to please make up our room while we were out the first day, we did not get fresh towels or our bed made for our second night there.. We do nor recommend staying there. We chose it because we would be close to the University for an event we were attending. Unfortunately I did not check the reviews here first.

I would NOT recommend this Place at all. There was no personal, contact. Very noisy, Door slamming until at least 2am. Very little sleep on our 1 night stay. If we had booked for long we would have checked out. What else can say, just not a place I would recommend!
