We have just visited the wolf inn for a family Christmas event with our 6 year old. The event involved a visit from santa and the turning on of the wolf Christmas tree lights, which was really nice. How ever the service in the pub was very dissapointing, with one male staff member in paticular the one with the black beard, who only wanted to serve the locals. The first time I went up I thought I imagined this, but the second time me my wife and our 6 year old stood for nearly 10 minutes ignored by all staff as locals came in after and were served almost instantly right in front of us. This happened twice. All we wanted was a soft drink for our son. I appreciate you want to keep the locals happy, but surely new custom is important too and ignoring them and making them feel unwelcome is surely the wrong way to go about it. We are only in Letterston but this isnt the first time we have experienced this sort of unprofessional conduct from the staff. I don't usually leave bad reviews and I was reluctant to write this one, but it kind of ruined the end of a very nice night. One point to make is the staff outside were very good serving the hot chocolate and hot dogs.

We have just returned home from a great weekend celebrating a birthday and wedding anniversary. We stayed in room 5 which was a lovely room at the front of the building. Newly renovated with a lovely up to date bathroom. Totally spotless with a very comfy bed. We had breakfast each morning and were looked after by the lovely manager. Lots of options on the breakfast menu. We also had 2 evening meals which were delicious. We would highly recommend a stay here. We stayed 4 years ago before the renovation and will definitely return in the future

Table booked at half 12 , waited an hour and half for the Sunday lunch which wasn’t the best . Lanmb was so fatty . Service terrible, they said they had a large table in but quite honestly I would have preferred if they had denied the booking as clearly very under staffed! Won’t return as very over priced and over rated !

I can’t recommend The Wolfscastle Inn enough.. staff were soo attentive, welcoming and lovely! ( Seb/Richard and ladies) The food at the inn was delicious, breakfasts and dinners! ( nice one Seb and team) The family room was perfect, plenty of space and cosy and clean.. I’ll definitely be back! Perfect location and such a cosy pub to return too. Richard even provided us with free takeaway drinks for our journey home, so thoughtful. Such a great stay! 👌👌🎉
