**Hotelbewertung: Hotel Hochegger** Wir haben kürzlich einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Hotel Hochegger verbracht und möchten unsere positiven Erfahrungen gerne teilen. Von Beginn an haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Gastgeber waren außerordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend, was eine warme und einladende Atmosphäre geschaffen hat. Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Lage, die ideal zum Entspannen und Abschalten ist. Trotz der ruhigen Umgebung sind alle wichtigen Annehmlichkeiten und Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichbar. Ein weiteres Highlight unseres Aufenthalts war das hervorragende Essen. Sowohl das Abendessen als auch das Frühstück waren ausgezeichnet und haben keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Besonders das Frühstück war reichhaltig und bot eine große Auswahl an frischen und leckeren Produkten. Alles in allem können wir das Hotel Hochegger uneingeschränkt empfehlen und freuen uns schon auf unseren bereits gebuchten nächsten Besuch!

I‘ve spend and entire weekend there and it was marvellous. 🥂 Wonderful area with great landscape, perfect location for skiing (the chairlift is right next to the hotel). The hotel has also a sauna, which is perfect, if you want to relax in the evening. The food tasted amazing (fresh and cooked on the spot). Five stars for the cleaning standards and coziness ⭐️ . Friendly personal. The host, David, was very attentive and caring. 💕 Will definitely come back. 🎿

Ich war mit einer Freundin übers Wochenende da und wir waren begeistert! Sehr freundlicher Service, extrem gutes Essen, saubere Zimmer und beeindruckender Ausblick. Kann das Hotel jedem uneingeschränkt empfehlen, der mal in Kärnten Urlaub machen möchte.

This cozy hotel is the right choice if you are looking for an escape in the Austrian mountains for a long weekend. It vibrates with a palpable family atmosphere, the owners and all the staff members are the sweetest and most welcoming people and you can't help but feel like at home. The location of the hotel could't be more perfect, as there is a ski-lift starting straight from its entrance and when you open your room curtains you are looking right at the ski trail. You can buy skiing passes at the hotel (for a better price if you are a guest) and even book a ski instructor. There are various trails for skiers with all kinds of difficulties and I would recommend it even for beginners. The views are definitelly worth it :) The Wellness is a huge advantage. After skiing for the whole day you will certainly want to enter the saunas (dry or steam). But for us one of the most satisfying attributes of this hotel was the food! It was very tasty and the cuisine is diverse with all kinds of yummy appetizers, hot soups and fancy looking desserts. We could't get enough of it. The menu is only in German, but that was never a problem as all the staff members spoke English too. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and it feels like it wasn't enough. We will surely come back as everything was perfect - we even had a fairytale like weather which made the stay flawless. Thank you, Hochegger ＜3

Nach einer Veranstaltung am Klippitztörl sind wir im Alpengasthof Hochegger eingekehrt. Das Ambiente des Gasthofes hat sich in den letzten Jahrzehnen kaum verändert und strahlt entsprechenden "Charme" aus. Nach einer etwas unterkühlten Begrüßung durch die MitarbeiterInnen, haben wir aus der übersichtlichen Speisekarte ausgewählt. Die Gerichte wurden extrem rasch serviert. Dieser Umstand sowie die Optik bzw. der Geschmack der einzelnen Zutaten nährte unsere persönliche Vermutung, dass in diesem Gasthof vornehmlich auf Convenience-Produkte zurückgegriffen wird. Auf Grund der doch recht hohen Preise für das Essen fanden wir, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in diesem Lokal in absolut keiner Relation steht. Schade, dass die Betreiber nicht auf frische und regional Produkte zurückgreifen und entsprechende Gerichte anbieten. Als weiteren negativen Beigeschmack unseres Besuches im Alpengasthof Hochegger haben wir empfunden, dass uns beim Verlassen des Gastraumes die (offensichtliche) Chefin zwar angesehen hat, es aber nicht der Mühe wert gefunden hat zu grüßen oder für den Besuch zu danken.

Gaststube zum Aufwärmen - Essen leider nur Convenience-Food - Preise überdurchschnittlich hoch Wir waren nach einem Besuch auf dem Klippitztörl mit der Seilbahn im Gasthaus gewesen. Wir waren zu zweit zum Abendessen dort. Die Bestellung: Burger und Käsespätzle. Das Essen wird sehr schnell serviert; es ist ganz offensichtlich Convenience-Food, welches fertig aus dem Kühlschrank kommt und nur noch heiß gemacht werden muss. Es ist zwar schmackhaft, aber leider nicht frisch zubereitet, so wie ich es mir als Gast in einem besonderen „Alpengasthof“ erwartet habe. Hier ist meine Erwartung, dass die Karte ruhig kleiner sein kann, aber die Küche mit frisch zubereiteten Gerichten aus der Region punktet. Der Salat war auch ganz offensichtlich perfekt geschnitten aus der Tüte. Insgesamt war die Bedienung ok, aber für eine behagliche und zuvorkommende Gastfreundlichkeit müsste noch eine „Schippe an Freundlichkeit“ draufgelegt werden. Also: Essen war insgesamt OK - die Rechnung war hochpreisig, insbesondere wegen der teuren Getränke - Gastfreundlichkeit ausbaufähig. 2,5 von 5 Punkten.

Wir waren über Silvester mit mehreren Familien hier. Die Küche ist spitze. Der Sessellift gleich neben dem Hotel ist top. Das Personal ist stets freundlich. Die Kinderbetreuung haben wir nicht genutzt, aber der Spielraum neben dem Restaurant ist gold-wert. Wir kommen jedenfalls wieder.

Wir wollten mit unserem Hund im Restaurant zu Abend essen. Gleich beim Eingang wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass der Hund hier nicht erwünscht ist. Auf meine Frage, ob ich den Hund vor der Tür anbinden soll (Scherz) antwortete der Kellner mit einem ersten JA. Daraufhin wollte ich das Restaurant verlassen. Der Kellner hat gesagt, das dies ein Kinderhotel wäre, aber er fragt nochmal den Chef. Wir durften bleiben. Wenn ich nicht bei meiner Freundin zu Gast gewesen wäre, hätte ich das Lokal sofort verlassen. Ich werde dieses Restaurant nie mehr betreten. Das Essen war ohnedies nur mittelmäßig.
