The original Berghotel on Titlis mountain has been incorporated into a high speed gondola base that provides access to Titlis mountain for large numbers of international tourists interested in a day excursion to the top of the mountain. Although access to the hotel is limited to guests, the hotel uses the charmless cafeteria facilities to serve dinner and breakfast for those on a half board dining plan. Breakfast includes cold cereals and previously cooked scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes, and a limited selection of cold meats and cheeses. Dinner is a three course meal with a choice of entree, and a simple appetizer and dessert of average quality and quantity. The room was clean and modern and had comfortable beds. The sauna facility if limited to a single Finish sauna room with a single shower and a small relaxation area it can not handle more than six people at a time. The lounge area is functional but charmless and a bar is limited to an honor bar with a limited selection of wine and beer. The Berghotel is an ideal base for a limited time for those interested in exploring Titlis.

Leider, konnten wir unseren gebuchten Augenthalt von drei Tagen mitte Januar, infolge einer Erkrankung, nicht antreten. Vom Erstkontakt, bis hin zur Reservierung und schlussendlich der krankheitsbedingten Stornierung des Arrangements durften wir einen sehr freundlichen, hilfsbereiten sowie unkomplizierten und sehr kundenfreundlichen Service erleben. Top, macht weiter so! Bis auf ein nächstes Mal.

We were extremely comfortable and had a few days of absolute downtime here. Location is perfect if you’re planning to ski/hike. You need to be up the mountain before the lift closes at 5pm - our plane landed in Zurich at noon and, travelling by train, this was very comfortably achievable. Everything is clean and welcoming. Our balcony, facing the Trübsee, was sunny in the afternoons, beds were comfortable (though three people to a room felt a little cramped). We loved being able to get up, have a wonderful breakfast, then be straight out and able to ski. At the end of the day, coming home to a sauna was also great. There is an Intersport in the building for ski/boot hire if needed, though this is only open 10.00-16.00. In the ski room there are snow shoes you can borrow if you fancy snow shoeing rather than skiing. Plenty of of great routes direct from the hotel. Be aware that things do close down in the evening- there is not a wild nightlife up here. This was perfect for us, but won’t be for everyone.

Nos hospedamos por 2 noites no hotel e amamos desde o principio. Existe um sistema que permite o transporte das malas ate o hotel super bem feito. A alimentacao do hotel é excelente. O cafe da manhã e o jantar sao espetaculares. O bar que tem do lado de fora é excelente. A vista é linda. O quarto que ficamos um espetáculo. Um hotel muito legal para crianca. Nós nao esquiamos, mas nos divertimos muito no kids park.

Zimmer klein aber einwandfrei. Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltig und qualitativ hervorragend. Abendessen (Halbpension) absolut mangelhaft, lieblos gekocht, schlecht gewürzt, selten wirklich heiss. Selbst Trockenreis vom Kindermenue fühlt sich hart und ungekocht an. Älplermakkaronen werden als ungewürzte Pampe ohne Käse und Röstzwiebeln am Buffet auf den Teller geklatscht. Der Risotto wurde als "Knödel" serviert, klebrig, ungewürzt und absolut ungeniessbar. Die Pouletbrüstli dazu waren so trocken, dass man diese kaum mehr schneiden konnte. Die Desserts waren immer gut.

Zeer goed hotel, dat wij vorige week voor de derde keer hadden geboekt. Het personeel is (met uitzondering van de receptionist) zeer vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam. De receptionist (die met een voetbeugel aan het werk was) zat er duidelijk met veel tegenzin zijn werk te doen : hij was onvriendelijk en zeer lui. Elke hem gestelde vraag was er duidelijk één te veel. Het eten was zeer lekker (je dient half-board te nemen) is lekker maar mag tijdens de week wat meer afwisseling gebruiken. Wij gaan zeker terug, maar dan niet meer voor een ganse week. Een viertal dagen zal perfect zijn.

Wir waren schon etliche Male, tage- oder wochenweise im Berghotel Trübsee, wir waren immer sehr zufrieden. Nun wurde sehr spontan von Bedient zu Selbstbedienung umgestellt, besser ausgedruckt - Buffetservice. Die Küchenmannschaft, sowohl auch die Tischabräumer/Innen waren überfordert. Eine Unternehmensstruktur für einen reibungslosen Ablauf war nicht vorhanden. Mit der Familie konnten wir aus diesen Gründen nicht immer zusammen essen, ansonsten war das Buffet-Essen durch das anstehen kalt. Ein Personalmangel spürten wir förmlich, klar nach dieser Pandemie nicht einfach gutes Personal zu finden und wir zeigten grosses Verständnis. Leider war die Rezeption nicht offen für ein sachliches Gespräch, ganz ehrlich, wenn der offerierte Service nicht geboten wird, sollte es auch ein "Gudi" zurückgeben. Argumente wie Lebensmittel wurden teurer oder die Löhne sind gestiegen, sind doch sehr fade, wenn der Buffet-"Service" doch erst gerade eingeführt wurde. Schade!
