This friendly, family-run country hotel is set in a central and yet tranquil location in the historical heart of Wolfegg.
The building itself was used as the stagecoach building over 200 years ago, and has now been run by the same family for almost 60 years. This is a fine venue for business functions or family celebrations. Younger guests will enjoy the extensive play area with swings, a sandpit and table-tennis. There are 5 separate dining areas as well as 2 banquet halls.
An additional wooden building was added to the hotel in 2016, located across the street. This consists of 4 new hypoallergenic rooms made from 100% natural wood. The massive wooden walls were constructed without any glue, wood preservatives or other chemicals, providing for a more restorative sleep and vacation.

Very good location a few km from the motorway. Nearby an interesting historical castle with a beatiful church, all privately owned by the same family since ages. Hotel with a good german standard. Restaurant with a good food, nothing special. Service mediocre.

Kurzfristig auf der Suche nach einer Unterkunft von Samstag auf Sonntag zu zweit mit Hund, sind wir durch Zufall auf den Gasthof zur Post in Wolfegg gestoßen. Der erste telefonische Kontakt war schon mal super freundlich. Vor Ort wurden wir nicht enttäuscht. Netter Empfang, klasse Zimmer, dass top sauber war und ein sehr gutes Abendessen mit tollem Biergartenbesuch davor, ließen keine Wünsche offen. Eine ruhige Nacht und ein Top Frühstück rundeten den Aufenthalt in Wolfegg ab. Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal hier. Danke noch mal an das tolle Team :-)

Einfache ehrliche Küche zu normalen Gastro Preisen.Geschwollene mit Kartoffelsalat hausgemacht was will man mehr.Der urige alte Gasthof ist sehenswert und auch nicht im Ort zu übersehen ,grosser Parkplatz vorm Haus mit Biergarten hintern Haus.Wer hier einkehrt macht nicht falsch freut euch das es noch Wirtschaften gibt die täglich für das Wohl der Gäste sich einsetzten von uns hier einmal ein danke an alle da draussen im Land die Freude noch den Bürgern bringen.danke

Nach dem Abholen meines Oldtimers bei Becker Studios in Ravensburg Schlier, wollten wir noch das Automuseum in Wolfegg besuchen, daher entschlossen wir uns im Gasthof Post zum das Mittagessen einzunehmen. Ein sehr grosser Gasthof im 80er Style, der gut besucht scheint. Uns wurde sofort ein Platz angeboten. Das Menü bot eine für mich leckere schwäbische Spezialität: Schweinenacken mit Röstzwiebeln und Bratkartoffeln und einen gemischten Salat. Meine Partnerin entschloss sich für Wienerschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat. Alles hat sehr lecker geschmeckt und war auch reichlich in der Menge. Danke gerne wieder!

Ein herrlich schwäbischer Gasthof. Man sollte sich nicht scheuen nur zum Essen zu gehen, obwohl es ein ***Hotel ist. Herzlich, freundlicher Service, leckeres einheimisches Bier beste schwäbische Speisen. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Unser Einkehrtipp in Wolfegg!

Leider ist die Speisekarte nicht mehr sehr professionel gemacht. Es sind lediglich 2 A5-Seiten in die Vesperkarte eingeklebt. Die Gerichte sind lieblos angerichtet (eine Scheibe saure Karotte mit Petersilie als Garnitur - bitte lieber ganz darauf verzichten!) Ketchup und Mayonnaise sind in Schlauchverpackungen und werden zu den Pommes Frites gereicht. Es hat mehr Imbisstuben-Charakter als das eines Speiselokales. Werde mir zukünftig Alternativen suchen.

Wir haben Bratwürste mit frischem Kartoffelsalat gegessen, hervorragend. Ebenso das Schnitzel mit Pommes. Die Maultaschen waren leider nicht selbst gemacht. Das Restaurant mit Hotel liegt zentral in der Ortsmitte. Es gibt genügend Parkplätze.

Wir haben sehr gut gegessen. Wir hatten Rahmschwammerl und Tellersülze. Trotz vollem Biergarten mussten wir nicht zu lange warten und wurden freundlich bedient. Die Preise sind teilweise schon eher gehoben. Der Biergarten ist sehr schön.
