Hotel Denkmal 13 Wismar

Very nice, old house in the immediate vicinity of the old town and the port. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was good and sufficient, but not as a buffet as described, but served at the table on a small cake stand. Not everything offered as freshly prepared on a place card was also available (example, in addition to egg dishes, small sausages were also offered, which were not available). Free parking is very limited in the narrow streets. 4 of the hotel's own parking spaces can be reserved for €8.00 per day. However, these parking spaces are only recommended for experienced drivers, as the gate entrance is extremely narrow and it is also extremely narrow in the backyard. You have to be very careful not to damage your vehicle. Our room (comfort room!) under the roof was large, but the bed area was only accessible via 2 steps and was no more than 1.50 meters high. With my height of 1.86 m I had to "crawl into bed" and be careful not to hit my head. The bed height itself was a maximum of 30 cm from the floor. I don't know how older people or people with limited mobility are supposed to get along here! There was nothing to read about this when booking and none of the many pictures shows anything like it. I would never have booked it like that and that gave the stay a negative aftertaste! Is something like that even allowed for a hotel room? The shower and bath is accessible via a fairly steep staircase in the room. My wife found the picture of the back of a naked lady on the shower wall disturbing, it certainly didn't match the style of the house.

Quite a wonderful small hotel with individual room furnishings that have been integrated into the old building. Partly as a free-standing installation in the room. Breakfast comes to the table on an etagere with the option of additional egg dishes. Very friendly, attentive staff! Small green courtyard where you can also have breakfast on nice days. Price / offer: Very good!

Lage vom Haus gut nur nicht wenn man das Zimmer Padre Peppe hat. Zimmer sehr klein und beengend. Ein Fenster zum Nachbarhaus mit billigst Zimmern. Nach Mitternacht und um ca. 4 und 5 Uhr war ein grosser Lärm. Wir nehmen an,dass es Erntehelfer waren die auf die Mitfahrgelegenheiten warteten und sangen,jolten und debattierten und das auf der Strasse genau vor unserem Fenster. Im Hotel war nur das Frühstückspersonal anwesend an der Reception haben wir niemand angetroffen. Frühstück war vielfältig und gut.

Wer es perfekt und geradlinig mag, der darf hier nicht hin. Wer es individuell und außergewöhnlich mag...bitte buchen! Gerade das war für uns unfassbar schön! Es ist beschrieben, dass es ein altes denkmalgeschütztes Haus ist. Und ja, es gibt wackelige Bodenfliesen und Risse an den Wänden. Genau dieses hat aber auch den Charme des Hauses ausgemacht. Jedes Zimmer (und wir durften uns zwei weitere ansehen), war wirklich individuell und auf seine Art schön. Geschlafen haben wir in dem Himmelbett persönlich richtig gut und ja, es war in unserem Zimmer etwas eng. Aber dafür hat man sich in eine andere Zeit zurück versetzt gefühlt. Sauber, gemütlich, das Personal war total aufmerksam. Ein reichhaltiges Frühstück, jeder weitere Wunsch wäre auf Anfrage erfüllt worden. Ausladen kann man vor der Tür, parken kostenlos in der Nähe. Fußläufig ist der Hafen und die wunderschöne Altstadt in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir kommen auf jedenfall nochmal und empfehlen dieses Unikat gern weiter.
