Space between bed frame and bed Lack of upkeep in room Noisy for some - street, next room, party music across street - they even give ear plugs for it No in-room water bottle or coffee Very small TV Light from AC is bright in room Creaky bed Glasses in bathroom which we quickly removed for safety Loud jeweler in lobby makes it unappealing to sit there to relax Parking is $20 valet or $20 behind hotel, higher priced valet at certain times Overall he place could be freshened up and maintained to give a better look and feel cleaner. The window in the shower is unappealing and paint chipped off all over. Being historic does not mean you give up on maintenance. We have stayed in historic places before and not faced this level of upkeep. Pros Can walk to restaurants and shops easily Sitting on balcony and people watching while on wicker chairs with cushions Nice friendly front desk staff Restaurant Bosphorous cafe nearby Big room with sitting area Years ago they delivered continental breakfast, which would have been nice or even coffee would be good now AC works well We were there in summer but cozy fire in lobby looks nice Unique very old elevator is quaint to see

Loved the charm of this hotel. All fine but would have liked robes in the room. The outside balcony where chairs were was very messy and not swept. We had the room overlooking park and it may have been more pleasant if there was not a big bag of laundry and a number of buckets to the right of us. Maybe you do bot have a lot of storage there but these could have been more hidden.

Very old hotel, small bathrooms, thin walls, flying termites, felt like B&B not a hotel, the staff was nice but wouldn't stay there again.
