We stayed in the hotel a few years ago and were very pleased with the stay. So much so I eagerly booked this hotel for another one night stay. Where do I even begin? I booked my room (non-smoking, 1st floor) almost two weeks prior. I showed up to check in, figuring it should be a simple process. I was given a non-smoking room on the 2nd floor. Not a huge deal. I got up to the room to find the blinds wide open, the door propped open by the door jam, the lights on, the beds were stripped with the blankets tossed on the second bed, television on, and a soda on the counter. Went back to the reservation desk. The gentleman first handed me my ID as he had “forgotten” to give it back the first time. The gentleman gave me a second room, on the 1st floor. Same story. Walk up to the room- blinds/curtains wide up, no blankets on the beds, lights and television on. At this point my patience is wearing thin. I go back to the front desk and hear the woman in front of me state she had just been told there was only ONE non-smoking room left! Needless to say at this point I was fuming- we had made prior reservations and received confirmation of our requests. I’m given a THIRD ROOM. I didn’t even have to walk upstairs to check it out as it was NOT labeled as a non-smoking room. At this point they finally drag one of the “owners” out of his room because the front desk guy hasn’t even worked there two weeks! First he wants to go check those rooms that hadn’t been cleaned, making me feel uncomfortable like he was accusing me of lying. He and the guard come back. Magically a non-smoking room that hasn’t been lived in becomes available. He and the guard escort me upstairs while my husband thankfully followed behind in the van as this situation seemed like it was going to turn into something from a crime drama. We get to the room- they’re doing renovations to the hotel. No big deal- at this point I just want to get a room so we can all go to bed. I didn’t care that there were buckets, plastic drapes, and a random suitcase outside. They open the door- at that point I was willing to look aside the fact that the floor was a bit dirty. So both men head downstairs. That’s when I hear the beeping. The battery from the smoker detector was dead. Both guys come back upstairs and at first I thought the guard was going to swap the smoke detectors from another room. They head back downstairs and I finally have a few minutes to gather my thoughts. I decided there was no way I felt comfortable staying at this establishment with my family. I walked downstairs to tell my husband who was thrilled. I think the front desk clerk was on the verge of tears when he saw me again. I was not the only guest demanding a refund. The “owner” told me my reservation was canceled- I had to ask two times for paper confirmation as I trusted his word about as far as I could throw him. Don’t Stay Here This hotel was the worst we have experienced. It was so bad that we booked a different hotel down the block for the rest of our trip. If it hadn’t been so late when we arrived, we would not have even stayed the one night that we did. Lobby looks nothing like the pictures online. Heavy cigarette smell made us nauseous. Asked for a non-smoking room so attendant gave us a room key and told us to go take a whiff since they don’t really monitor if there were smokers. Room didn’t smell of smoke but very musty. Didn’t notice until the morning that the shower was dripping hot water all night. Did however notice the cigarette burn holes in the sheets, food crumbs all over the chair and filthy floor. My socks were disgustingly dirty by the time we left the next day. Toilet paper holder was broken. The single “partial” role was shoved in the indented hole in the wall - which was dirty! Frig froze the leftovers and drinks we put in it. No blanket; they just doubled up the top flat sheet. No closet or place to hang clothes. The next morning, we did wake to cigarette smoke as our neighbors were smoking right outside our door. Not to mention the smell of fast food garbage dumpsters across the parking lot. We were hoping to at least partake in the “free breakfast” before we checked out, only to find NOTHING. Not only no food but no coffee or tea. To top it off, ********** tried to get us a refund for the 4 remaining nights of our trip and it was not approved. DISGUSTING!

People next-door and their noisy there was no remote in the room. Only one light worked burn hole in the covers. Bathroom wasn’t clean.

Average This motel was clean, and my bed was comfortable. But as a weary traveller I didn't appreciate the inconvenience of a room key that didn't work, a fridge that failed, and an inattentive staff member.
