Lack of amenities like lock safe, toiletries. Still need to call and go to the front desk to get those. No additional water bottles just 2bottles for 2days chk in.

Had to get a chemo port put in and was afraid to be late for the 7:30 a.m. surgery with the morning traffic, so stayed at Canad Inn Health Science Center. . Had to be moved rooms 3 times, the first as no heat (and they shut off the hot water at 11:30 p.m. for "maintenance" so I was up against a time limit for showering), then BEDBUGS requiring a second move after the surgery, all when I was in recovery the same day as the surgery. I saw that there are many Indigenous people at this hotel, many of whom likely traveled very far to get to HSC and treatment, so this is extra disgusting. One gentleman (when I was checking out) heard me complain about having had only a tiny discount in consideration of the horrible experiences, and said that he'd had a terrible experience the year before but had hoped that the situation had improved this time. I told him that this wasn't the only hotel, but of course, many Indigenous people do not experience welcome at many places and may not know Winnipeg well, and not even feeling safe, especially when undergoing medical procedures. How predatory! I can hardly wait until the new building purchases that are being converted into Indigenous care facilities are completed. I can certainly see why they are needed. Shame! Corporate predators. Try to avoid this hotel if at all possible, EVERYONE.

I have amazing treatment every time I’m there. I am there a lot for medical, and they are my home away from home. Great hotel and service. I also love I can wake up go down to good staff then go to the Starbucks in the hotel.

Considering the location and size of the hotel it was the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. Excellent service from staff. Had to pay for parking but it was secure parking. It was very convenient to have the coffee shop and restaurants located in the hotel. Food was delicious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Only drawback was the television programming. Being attached to the hospital was a blessing. I believe my husband recovered faster just being in a comfortable room and not having to drive anywhere. Being able to walk to and from the hospital without even having to put on a jacket was a nice bonus. Overall the stay (room bound due to medical procedure) was worth it.

The rooms were so clean and perfect in every way and my bed was very comfortable. The staff were all very kind and helpful so my stay was enjoyable and wonderful. I was so pleased and I look forward to staying there again one day.
