The hotel’s room is very big, but the problem is the door direction is toward bed. We asked to change sheet at front desk but they did not do that. Also the room has strange smell.

For Reference: Titanium / Lifetime Platinum / ~900 nights @ Marriott / 2 night stay with car Overall this was a fine Fall 2025 Connecticut stay with a spouse and toddler. The service was decent at check in, and at breakfast with that staff member over the weekend. The breakfast hours are unbelievably short and honestly just stingy at just 7-9am. Outside of an actual B&B, I have never experienced a breakfast period that was so short at any hotel Marriott branded or otherwise anywhere in the world. On top of the fact that if people finished a certain part of the food (i.e. fruit) in first 30 mins, the staff were told not to refill it. All round pretty terrible. In fairness the breakfast itself as far as these things go at US properties for a free morning buffet at this type of chain, it was about as good as you tend to get in terms of range of options and freshness. Also for a hotel off an interstate (so not urban), in the middle of nowhere really (if you were to walk somewhere the closest would be a 15 min walk to a gas station), they charge a $10 per stay parking fee. There is no other way to get to this hotel than driving, letalone to do anything else while staying there, and space is not an issue. Never had this at this type of hotel in US across any brand. Room was mostly fine with king bed, sofa bed, decent kitchen, and ok bathroom area. Not particularly clean but wouldn't say dirty either. It looked at some point in the past someone had tried to break into the room because there was hacked door on the wood where the latch is. They are also a hotel that does not do any housekeeping for a 2 night stay. (sure yet another cost saving thing from pandemic era that has been kept). Overall stay was above average. Nothing went wrong, staff were mostly responsive and nice, and allowed us to do our trip as planned for a long weekend. No perks or feeling special as a Titanium member in any way beyond token script at checkin, letalone things like an upgrade or other perks. I usually don't expect much from these types of places, and I got less than that. The short breakfast hours and gratuitous parking fee are the biggest negatives but otherwise if you get a good rate, you will otherwise likely be fine with it as a budget choice.
