Ledge Rock at Whiteface

This place it’s a hidden gem, the view and location are perfect, I feel in love with the camp fire and tv combo outside. I will definitely be back

Our family stayed here on a ski trip to Whiteface. The hotel is across the street from the mountain and is a great base camp, especially when you’re skiing with kids and have a lot to prep/do to get ready! We were here during a very large snow storm and the driveway was plowed and accessible even with the constant snow dumping! Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice base camp away and will spending most of your time outdoors. Beautiful view of the mountain!

After the Hungry Trout overbooked us we were rebooked at the Ledge Rock at Whiteface Mountain. We checked out reviews and pictures before arriving and it looked decent. Unfortunately the photos we have posted show what the place looks like today. I can only assume that the pictures that are on line are old ones. There is “stuff” everywhere on the property. One of the photos we posted is actually the lobby with again stuff everywhere as you enter. The pictures of the room show that the draperies are held together with a close pin and the towel rack in the bathroom unfortunately has no bar. The RV shot is outside our room. If there is a pool as shown in a posted aerial view it is well hidden. The first morning we put a “do not disturb” sign on our door not knowing that that meant they thought we didn’t want the room cleaned for our entire stay. We did get clean towels on the second day of our stay. I also want to mention that I did not come to the Adirondack mountains to stay at a place that blasted opera Saturday night & again Sunday morning. Of course if you are a lover of opera you might like the diversion. At this time this place is in its twilight and very, very tired. I suggest you stay elsewhere as there appeared to be many other options.

This is a true gem!...it's not new or fancy...but it was clean and very spacious!!!...family owned and operated they were wonderful...it was comfortable and the bestest best was the absolutely stunning view of Whiteface right from my bed!....idded stay again!

Lovely little no frills motel. The room was clean, the staff, while minimal, was pleasant and helpful. Incredible view of the mountain. Quiet area, a bit of a drive to lake placid and restaurants (25ish mins or so). Very dated though. Most outlets didnt have grounding (two prongs), peeling paint and wallpaper, old and lumpy matress. It is an economical choice, though, and id stay again.
