I’m a lifetime Diamond with well over 100 nights per year on the road. Seldom do I leave a negative review. But customers are complaining about a recent trend in charging to use the simple parking lot in front of the building. Everyone understands third-party properties or valet. But forcing your customers to pay to park in a lot in front of the hotel is just another way to extract more dollars from your customer base. Additionally, every customer must download an app, upload a credit card, and pay for parking at a hotel that really isn’t worth the bother anyways. I’m happy to learn that customers are pushing back and choosing Marriott or IHG as alternatives. This hotel was quick with a suggestion of parking at the planet fitness down the road and walking back to the hotel. Please push back against this practice by choosing to stay elsewhere and sending a clear message to the management of this property.

Since this property changed hands from Marriott to Hilton, it has fared no better. This is a run down property that has been neglected by both chains. Rooms are dirty and windows are equally neglected, spoiling what could be a pleasant view of the river it sits on. Breakfast was abysmal and late. Staff puts on a good face and tries to work with what they have. The whole miserable experience is topped off with having to pay for parking at the hotel.

I have never had such a bad experience, even in less prestigious hotels. First, I slipped on the extremely slippery floor, then noticed that the circuit breakers were popped, so no outlet to dry my wet hair, then I realized the remote didn’t have batteries, then the dirt from the overhead fan was falling onto the bed, then they mopped the floor twice to alleviate the slipperiness (didn’t help), then I realized after having slept that the door doesn’t shut automatically like hotel doors are supposed to. When I mentioned that I had slipped and fallen on the slippery floor, the response was, “Be careful.” On my final morning, the circuit breakers popped once again, so no hair dryer! I must say that the people whom they sent up to the room to handle these many issues were very respectful.

Check in was a cluster. Very disorganized long wait one person working. Got a suite for 4 people had 2 towels. Crumbs on floor, broken smashed tiles is shower, stained cushions on couch looked like human…. Broken blind in main bedroom with large windows. No linens for pullout sofa etc. Room was a dump. $479 for one night. lol.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I have never checked in and out on the same night before. First room - lightbulb went out and another light broken and hanging off the wall. Second room - dental floss and feminine hygiene products still in the garbage. Disgusting. Also, YOU HAVE TO PAY TO PARK IN THEIR OWN PARKING LOT. Pay $200 for a room and then get told you either have to pay extra or go park in a different lot. this is how your treat your guests?!? I have never run so fast. Stay away from this hotel and go next door to the Hyatt Place. Free to park, gorgeous and bright, and same location.

Great Easter Weekend Stay
I enjoyed the fast check-in, the courteous staff, and great room. The view from the room was nice as well. I would boolk at this hotel again.
