It is a century-old hotel, so the decoration is quite old. If you like modern style hotels, you may not like this one, but for a century-old hotel, the maintenance is pretty good and the price is also quite good.

This is a historic property in downtown Williamsport and I was anxious to stay here for that reason. Sadly, it has been neglected and is borderline seedy. The lobby is marred by gaming machines, the rooms, while comfortable, have small issues that have not been attended to (door knob fell off, malfunctioning ac unit) , the much touted breakfast is seriously over rated, the hall from the parking lot reeks of ****, and all the once lovely historical displays are dusty, faded, and neglected.

This is an old in town hotel, very clean with older carpets and wallpaper. New bed linens. Good mattresses. There was no noise heard from inside the room. I actually thought there was no one else on our floor until checking out and saw all the used rooms. Centrally located in the heart of the downtown, free parking and walkable to many restaurants, supermarket and department store. The pool looks beautiful but was not open. Call ahead if this is the focus of the stay. The breakfast was as good as advertised.

Like visiting your grandparents, this property has ambiance that you either embrace or hate. Old furniture, fixtures, equipment and a somewhat old smell were not an inconvenience to us - we loved it! The elevators are old and bouncy, the room furniture is old but with a somewhat modern twist of electrical plugs included and the TV reception needs adjustment. But everything is comfortable, clean, and convenient. The bathroom sink counter is huge for all your things. The shower is really nice. Beds are soft and the A/C works as it should to make it as cold as you want. Our room reminded me of my grandparents house 50 years ago (I kept looking around to make sure I didn't leave a mess), but all the kids could complain about was the lack of USB ports LOL. The morning breakfast was delicious and complimentary coffee all day was welcomed. Parking was a pain, but there was a conference the night we arrived that we didn't know about and a concert nearby that made the parking lot packed. You can eat at the hotel restaurant, or take a short walk to several good spots. The pool was open late and a great way to unwind after a long road trip. If we come back this way some day, we will be sure to book again!

I wanted to thank Mr. Genetti and the staff for an absolute awesome weekend. Jarrett and Laura’s wedding was perfect and it was definitely a rememberable experience that they will hold dear to them the rest of their lives. My room was absolute best. How could you do better than a room with a jacuzzi on the 10th floor overlooking historic Williamsport. The room was so spacious and very clean. Thank you for a life time experience, can’t wait to come back for the Little League World Series. Definitely a 5 Star!

The Genetti is an old property in the downtown area. Parking is free and we received a nice complimentary breakfast. The age of the hotel is a nice touch in spots, but the rooms could use a little updating. They were clean but felt a little stale. It may have something to do with the large number of rooms in a hotel that doesn’t seem to get much use these days. When I was walking up to the elevator to get to my room, the elevator dinged and opened as if it knew I was approaching like the Tower of Terror. Apparently this hotel has haunting reports for those that find pros or cons in that sort of thing. Overall, the hotel is average, but the area has slim pickings. The breakfast is the highlight.

We stayed in a room with a hot tub for a business conference at the Community Arts Center. The hot tub was great for decompressing and relaxing following the long work days. The staff worked diligently to accommodate all the guests needs. I literally had not one negative interaction with the staff. The restaurant actually adjusted their business hours to ease the cattle crunching of guests for breakfast. The breakfast spread was over and above with lots of little extras to personalize the meal for yourself. They were able to keep up with the in flux of guests so that no food ever ran out. The front desk bent over backwards trying to help me find a needed item for our stay. The housekeeping staff was efficient and friendly. We had a special request to which they never blinked and was able to help without hesitation. The room was really clean not just a surface clean. Down to no stray hairs from previous guests anywhere. We just checked out and we are already requesting the same room for next year’s conference.

This really was a bad experience. A bad room. No maid service, even though it was requested daily. They even ran out of wash clothes for a full day! I would definitely steer clear of this place. The “pool view” was like a dorm overlooking an empty pool.
